Fuji Neopan (35mm, 1600 iso) User-Review

My friend Chris was having a house party so I knew I needed some good fast film, something I could use without having to whip out a big flash unit. I loaded up my AE-1 with some of this Neopan and went to the party. While there, I was able to use the camera pretty much at 1/60th and with a decent aperture setting. I was so surprised and it made it easier to get some candids of my friends while we had a blast. The next day, I was going to see my friend Sam’s band, The Dirt Vultures played a show. I brought my AE-1 with me again because they asked if I could take some shots for them. It was decently bright at their show so I was able to shoot in the 1/60th to 1/125th range without a problem which made it way easy to get good action shots of them.

When I got the film back I was blown away! Nice fat grain, nice punchy contrast and good shadows. I was so impressed with this film. It became my staple black and white film in my Canon. I know everyone always says how good this film is when you’re in low light…and they aren’t kidding! Besides being good in the light, the look of this film is out of this world. Looks like every good classic shot from the days of old, but available to us now.

be very careful when handling and storing it. It's sooo fragile and afraid of scratches. So be gentle :)
