I went on a hot air balloon ride for the first time, and I thought red scale must look really nice up in the sky with a combination of….Horizon!!!
I’ve been looking for the perfect film that I can use for my Horizon because somehow, it doesn’t seem to like cross processing. When I take pictures, I usually like to cross process, and I am not a big fan of colour negative films (besides Agfa portrait). However, 3 out of 3 times I tried doing that with my Horizon, I wasn’t happy with the results at all. Then I thought, well, I’ve seen what the Lomography red scale film is capable of, without even cross processing!
I was a little bit nervous though, because this hot air balloon ride was an once in a life opportunity for me and I really wanted the pictures to be perfect. I used many many cameras. I had my LC-A+, Diana+, Holga, and Horizon Kompakt hanging from my neck. I used many many film, too…Agfa portrait, CT Precisa, RSX II, Fuji Provia, Fuji T64 Type II and Lomography red scale film. With all that combination of cameras and films, the Lomo red scale with Horizon Kompakt gave me the most satisfying results! Beautiful orange, yellow, and red tones were so vivid, and it was more than I needed! Thus, my Horizon has finally met his perfect match and they are deeply in love and I am so happy to be the matchmaker for such perfect couple:)
