The XP2 is a fast film that gives your pictures great detail and depth.
This black and white film is one of my personal favourites when it comes to medium format b/w film. I never had any “accidents” with this film. It is even a good choice when expired. I bought the first rolls in a photoshop and those were expired for two years already but the results were still awesome. Fine grain, be it in low light or bright light situations. Full of detail and I never knew that grey and black can have so many different shades.
I used this film with a flash and in shadow – the results were both good. This is due to the 400 iso which is advantageous for a black and white film especially when you use it in your Holga. You can then use your camera whenever and wherever you like without having to fear that your pictures are underexposed.
The only problem is that the XP2 is a bit expensive but if you want to have really good black and white pictures you should not look at the price but at how this film turns your motives into stunning b/w images.
