Konica Pro (120, 400 iso) user-review
written by alexeiz on December 30th, 2008 (1 vote)

Konica Pro is a Pro indeed! If you ever you feel like stepping out of Kodak’s and Fuji’s road, try out Konica’s films and prepare to be surprised!

I didn’t know much about Konica films until I bought this Konica Pro 400 ISO. I just knew it would be different than the widely used Kodak and Fuji brands. I absolutely didn’t regret my choice when I saw the results!

At a very versatile speed, the Pro 400 just begs to be taken everywhere you go and to be shot as many times as possible. Cloudy, night, flash, sunny, anything, anytime! On daylight, the colours are natural but with a little twist that makes you wish it actually looked like on your picture. It is a perfect balance between saturation and reality.

But! It is under artificial light that the Konica Pro 400 go wild and funky! The saturation is screaming at the top of its lungs, colours are dancing on the bar, spilling their drinks on the bouncer trying to get them down but not succeeding! I even shot a friend’s band with my Diana+ on B setting and a handheld flash and they’re even more gorgeous than in person; how is that possible?!

In overall, the Konica Pro 400 is just like us people : calm and natural in the day at work, but a wild and friendly drunk party animal at night under the neon lights!
