If you’ve been taking a break from slide shots, then choosing color negative films is your next option. But what film, you ask?
Enter Solid Gold ASA200! Cheap, affordable, can-be-seen-anywhere, this little film baby will always be your best friend in times of surprise! On sunny days, place this together with your camera, and what you’ll do now is to wait for those exciting, lovely shots!
This baby comes all the way from Japan, where it is manufactured, and sent to all parts of the globe. Solid Gold can be seen everywhere (I don’t know about other places but here in Philippines, it can be found in every corner).
The film’s strength practically goes to daytime shots! Go out and search the world from noontime until dusk, and you’ll receive clean, colour popping-out shots!
I have lots of shots with this film, used in different cameras, and they all pleased my eyes! To this date, I still love Solid Gold film. It’s much cheaper than Kodak and Fuji, and it is entirely a favorite film of the country. Ask any lomographer from Philippines if they had tried Solid Gold and they will say “yes”.
Practically, this film is your quick-draw if you don’t have any color negs and slides available at your hand. This comes in handy, and you’ll love the colors!
Pros:
- Vibrant colors are popping out; vivid.
- Cheap and affordable!
- Can be used during night-time!
- It also gives the vintage-y look, for all you vintage lovers out there!
Cons:
- Solid Gold has only one ASA available, ASA200.
