Subtle and Rough: B.W., is that slide, negative, color, b&w? Yes its obviously black and white, and yes the brand is as easy to pronounce as utopia.

It’s so grainy!! Everywhere you look in the picture, there’s grain, obvious ginormous grain! Also, the contrast in black and white is very vivid.

I aint a pro when it comes to black and white film. But this was my first experience on using one and yes, I was excited to pair it up with my Fisheye.
I found this film at a store which didn’t seem to sell much, true enough as soon as i walked in the store, I had to wake up the seller just to purchase this film.

It has a dramatic effect (in my perception) in every photo. Almost like you can make a story out of each photo, even though there’s no story behind it.

Also, the contrast in black and white is very vivid. The photos came out great, but like I said, I’m not a pro with black and white film, the contrast may happen evidently in some shots, in others, it doesn’t. I had no clue how to take photos in various conditions. Indoor or outdoor, it still produces a nice picture. You may love the grain at times, and maybe just get bedazzled by it.

It’s quite disappointing though that I had no corporate information about this BW film, no word of where this is from, so I am guessing it is produced locally here in Indonesia. The packaging is in low quality, the expiry date notice was used with ink/stamp that is not likely to happen for a mass-produced films.

WOW! Grain like that in a 100 speed film is unheard of! This film is great! Go back to that store and get as much as possible... you've struck a gold mine!
