Viva la Velvia! A little blue here, a little green or yellow over there. We all have our own “color stories” but let me share to you this cute film: the Fuji Velvia (ASA 50)!!!
So I was searching for one: the Velvia which has an ISO 50. Luckily, one of my friends have it so she gave me some of this films. I was kindly expecting brick colored shots. Loaded it in my Holga and Lubitel, I took some shots with them together with this little imaginative expectations - you know, those magenta-filled beach moments, reddish hang-outs with your friends, or your dog barking in the window slapped with a violet shade.
But I was wrong! I was expecting this, but the results were all SURPRISING! Velvia 50 is so above excitement I cannot explain. Each shots, different colors! Depends on what time you took the picture, but try to forget the rules, you’ll see!!! You can even take one on night-time, and a great result will be waiting for you!
So don’t be afraid with a low ISO. Go out, bask yourself in the sun, take some shots, forget the rules, go take shots while the sun is down, and be in-loved with your film - plus your shots!!!
