Some people say B&W is not Lomography. There may be nice images done on Holga but that’s all about it. True lomostyle is in colors. In bright colors. And cross process is a king there. Well, I wouldn’t be so narrow-minded…
My first lomographic shots were done on Fisheye and Ilford XP2 super.
This film perfectly suits street photography. It is a sharp, fast and fine grain. It can be used for any photographic subject, but ensures excellent results when there is a wide brightness range. This film yields high contrast negatives and has an extremely wide exposure latitude making it suitable for use in varied lighting conditions. XP2 SUPER gives exceptionally sharp, crisp prints. The excellent highlights and improved shadows of XP2 SUPER due to its enhanced negative contrast for optimum black and white print quality.
The film is cheap and easy to process in C41 type processing chemicals. So if you need something good, cheap and easy this is the best choice.
Well I am not saying these B&W shots are classically lomographic but who stated the rule eh?, No rules!
