Fast and Loose Fuji! Regarded as the photojournalist’s choice where high-speed shooting (and developing) was a priority in the days before digital, Fuji Neopan 1600 is still the film lover’s preference when capturing street and portrait photos under pretty much any lighting conditions.

If you’re looking for an extra-added punch to your street photographs the Neopan 1600 will not disappoint – not only will it allow you to stop the action on even the cloudiest of days, it’ll imbue your prints with a thick grain the likes of which Robert Capa would be proud of. And with portraits you can hold on to the ambient light you’d lose by using flash and the grain will lend a dramatic and striking mood to your subject without sacrificing contrast as you’d normally get with high speed films.

And if you’re the type who likes to process his or her own film this one’s speedy attributes extend to having a short development time – enabling you to get your sharp, grainy and highly artful-looking prints on the double.

Hi petunia, Just a quick question. If you shot the 1600 film in the LCA at 400 how did you process it? Did you pull process it? Like half the recommended development time? I am about to shoot with it and could do with pointers for processing.

    Thanks
