A few months ago I bought a pack of expired Provia in the shop… And I’ve got to say it was really worth it! I’ve tried it both in normal and cross processed using my 6×8 customised Holga.

When regularly processed, I was quite stoked to see how wonderful my photographs came out! The colours remain quite natural but the blues and yellows literally pop out on my prints!

When cross processed, instead I got a great creamy green shift. Just be careful when shooting on snow or bright and clear surfaces, your whites might get burnt quite easily…In my opinion, I don’t think I could tell you If I prefer Fuji Provia either processed normally or crossed, I’d say try them both!

    I do miss my total green shots
    its amazing, everything just green
    my friends ask my why I spended time at photoshop doing the photos like this
    then...
    I just show the normal color negative and the provia
    geil...

    Personally, I find that much green a little overwhelming, probably because I mostly take pictures of people, and green people aren't that attractive. When I put 35mm Provia in my LCA, I get a lot of green. I found that if I take it to a cheap developing lab (a department store or drug store), the green isn't as intense. If I take it to a pro shop, the greens are everywhere. For whatever reason, when I put 120 Provia in my Holga or Diana, I don't get all that green, and I get that developed in a pro shop (no choice). Not sure why that is - if there's a difference in the film or if it's the plastic lens that filters out the green.
