A seriously rare and unique Chinese black and white film that has to be seen to be believed. Lucky is famous around the world for its cheap-yet-bizarre appeal, and this contrasty emulsion (famous for its slightly over-strong highlights) is the perfect match for the Holga’s equally off-kilter optics.
When you load this to any medium format analogue contraptions of yours, it will surely re-introduce you to a world that is so simple yet truthful.
Upon seeing your prints developed, you might actually say that you have reached the eternal monochrome bliss. With contrast of high level and soft blacks dominating, it gradually detaches your photographs from that situation you thought was real thus making it as if it was just a fragment of an undying memory.
This Lucky SDH can reproduce your shots that is comparable to the elite force of B&W photography which are the likes of Kodak TMAX or Ilford. And this film’s cheapness is evident on its poor paper backing, uncontrolled light leaks will be ubiquitous which may annoy monochrome perfectionists and is a joy for us snapshooters!
