Kodak Ektachrome VS (120, 100 iso) staff-review

This kind of vivid saturation at 100 ISO seems incredible. But as you can see it is true! If films could be measured in terms of dramatic effect the 100VS would be a diva.

The Ektachrome legacy began way back in the 1940’s when it was first developed by Kodak. After almost seven decades have passed, still this film are favoured by both professionals and snapshooters alike. Enduring such long time and space known to photography could mean only one thing- quality.

One of them is this Ektachrome 100VS. Being rated at 100 ISO, this medium format wonder can drench your world into a saturation that is beyond your comprehension. As vivid as your eyes can see through your camera’s viewfinder, it will render truthful colours that is both rich and dimensional giving your images a glow just like of someone who has a radiant soul. Such honesty in photography is hard to come by these days. Another reason to like this film is its versatility. No matter how bright the sun is or how artificial your light source is, either way you will be guaranteed with results that are brilliant and dramatic at the same time. Also, this film is perfect for your cross-processing adventures. An amazing colour deviation will occur that will definitely bleed through your prints and staining your eyes with ridiculous pigmentation that is only known to happen with this film.

This Ektachrome 100VS holds a secret that is still left unknown until you used it. And once you found out about it, better to keep it to yourself because that’s how its magic works. Curious? pick up a roll and start shooting, this is the only way to unveil the mystery of this film.
