Velvia is world-famous as the most saturated slide film that you can buy. Shoot this on a bright day and develop it normally, and the results will knock you head over arse. When crossed, it gives you that wild Fuji green-blue color shift that we absolutely love.
Ultrahigh-saturation color reproduction through the incorporation of new cyan, magenta and yellow couplers. Superbly fine grained: With a RMS granularity of 8, one of the finest levels. *RMS stands for “Root Mean Square”, a widely used standard method for measuring the degree of grain in photographic film. The lower the RMS number, the smaller the apparent grain.
“I like this film especially when shooting indoors where the colours are more thicker but nevertheless the results are as awesome when used at bright sunlight. It really blends with the dark corner vignettes of the famous LCA. In fact I always carry an extra roll in my bag wherever I go as it also acts a good luck charm for me! It’s really an all rounder film where it can be shot at any lighting situations.” – gilaman
