Fuji Sensia (35mm, 100 iso) staff-review
written by fookshit on May 23rd, 2008 , 205 submissions , 2 comments (1 vote)

This smooth brother is lovely when straight processed and wild when crossed. Cross processed Fuji shots have huge contrast and a total color shift towards green & cream, blue, or even pink – depending on your developer.

This is one of the most discussed slide film I know that ever existed which is produced by Fujifilm. Blame it on its inconsistent colour shifts (and mood swings), it is impossible to put an end on the photographic debate that this film has started.

Spare yourself from the stress of defining the Sensia’s characteristics and ability because all you have to do is to just stop talking and just load a roll of this in your camera and let go of those prejudices you’ve heard about this film. It is common for this emulsion to give you those hot pink tints on your photographs when it’s cross processed…

And it doesn’t stop there, if you try to multi-expose a roll of Sensia, there you will see the different colour spectrum everyone is talking about. A mixture of blue creamy green and with the dominance of pink can be seen simultaneously on your developed images and only possible when you wash this with C-41 chemicals.

Open your eyes, try it yourself and expect the unexpected!

I found that Fuji Sensia comes out bright pink like this one when i have it developed at Spectrum Imaging or more natural bluey colours when I have it developed at snappy snaps.
