Wondering what the buzz was all about? "Bee" cool - we'll tell you! With Dan Carr from the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and work by Chase from Brooklyn Grange Farm, Lomography definitely woke up the hive.
With honey practically dripping from the ceiling, guests arrived Friday night ready to learn the secrets of bees! Dan Carr from the Stone Barns Center got the crowd ready for the sweet exhibition and honey tasting to come.
Dan Carr is a member of the Livestock Staff at the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture with a passion for bees. Originally from Colordo, Dan found his passion for farming and agriculture after college and it was not long before he fell in love with bee-keeping as well. In charge of upkeeping all of the farms at the Stone Barns Center, Dan taught everyone about his sweet profession and the importance of bees.
Excited to taste the product of the mysterious bees, guests roamed the store trying different kinds of honey, bread, butter, and even honey liqueur.
Accompanying the talk was a photography exhibition by Chase Emmons, Apiary Director and Partner at Brooklyn Grange Farm. Owning his own Orchard in Western Massachusetts, Chase is an entrepreneur with a love of chasing bees. Chase has been beekeeping for over a decade.
Ending the night, the new Diana F+ was raffled off to one sweet winner!
The Diana F+ is the perfect hand-sized medium format camera, allowing the user to take dreamy 120 snapshots. Revamped with a new sugar-coated exterior, the Diana F+ is even sweeter, bringing attention to the plight of the honey bees.
