April Workshops and Events in London ended 6 months ago

Join the Lomography Gallery Stores in London for some super April workshops. We have a highly advanced light painting workshop with one of our most dedicated Lomo-homies Nilan, a scavenger hunt to celebrate Film Photography Day, a LOMOMATRIX workshop, two parties AND a pinhole workshop. Phew! Find out details and dates right here.

Thursday 3rd April from 6 – 9pm @ East – First Thursdays featuring artist Jess Swann: A Summer of Colour
Spring is here, and it’s time for a splash of colour! We have a fantastic artist lined up this coming April in our gallery. Jess Swann is a London based artist and textile designer who produces beautiful, bright paintings and ink drawings. We are inspired by her intricate interpretations as they remind us the characteristics of analogue light leaks!
Come and see this wonderful collection in the flesh in our East London store for the private view on the 3rd of April from 6-8pm.

Sunday 6th April from 4-6pm @ EAST – Light Painting with Nilan
After the success of the first workshop we have teamed up with Nilan for another light painting workshop in our east London store basement. We will transform it into a light painting haven and focus on producing dreamy photos using EL wire, torches, glow sticks and flashes combined with long exposures. Not one to miss!
Tickets are £10 and include loan of La Sardina, a roll of film plus discounts on film processing! Call the East store on 02074260999 to book a place.

FILM PHOTOGRAPHY DAY EVENTS @ SOHO!
Saturday 12th April from 1pm – Film Photography day Analogue Scavenger Hunt!
We are celebrating all things analogue so you’ll be grouped up and kitted out with a Diana Instant camera, a list and a time limit. You must capture everything on the list on instant photos and the first one back to the store with the right images, wins awesome prizes! This is FREE! This is a group event and requires 4 people per group. You are welcome to book in as a group or if individually, we will place you in a group. Either way, it’s FREE and open to everyone who wants to join! Each group gets the loan of a Diana Instant camera, a pack of instant film and a La Sardina to document the hunt. Call the Soho store on 02074341466 to book a place. Spaces are limited so please act fast!

Party time! If you can’t come by for the scavenger hunt, pop in from 3pm for some drinks and music and an awesome raffle draw to win an LC-A+ camera and other goodies! You have to be in it to win it!

Sunday 13th April from 1pm – LOMOMATRIX
The infamous Lomomatrix returns and this time we hopefully won’t get rained/snowed out like last year! We’ll use the La Sardina cameras to capture the group in slo-mo mid-air jumps, kicks and catrwheels. It’s sort of like a stop-motion martial arts video but with film cameras and individual film shots complied to make one awesome matrix style movie. Grab your friends and be a part of this as we only host it once a year! Free drinks and goodie bags for everyone who participates.
This event is FREE but you must book in as spaces are limited. Please ring us at our SOHO store 02074341466 to book a place!

Saturday 26th April from 1pm @ EAST – Pinhole Madness with the Diana+
Nothing spells analogue quite like pinhole photography. We’ll teach you all about this analogue method of taking photos then take to the streets with the Diana F+ camera to capture the sights and sounds of the east end. It’s the perfect time to get to know the basics of the Diana camera as well as learn all about shooting through a pin hole!
Tickets are £10 and include the loan of a Diana+ camera, a roll film plus discounts on film processing! Call the EAST store on 02074341466 to book a place.
