What: Spotlight Exhibition: Staff Member Nicole Neenan
Cameras: Pentax ZXM, Yashica T4
Technique: Documentary Photography
This wonderful array of photographs will be up in our Gallery Space for the entire month of June. Nikki’s photographs are her exploration of a place where part of her family resides.
Here is Nikki’s description of her work:
“Coming from New York, I am very much acquainted with a constant feeling of exertion and action. I traveled to Thailand, spending three weeks in Bangkok hoping to relax and kick back in one of the most beautiful places in the world. As soon as I arrived in the city, I knew I was set to experience something wondrous. My family, native to Thailand, still resides there and promised me a true off the beaten tourist-path experience. Each day, I would venture out with a camera and a few rolls of film- quietly capturing everything that caught my eye. I spent a bulk of my trip in the heart of the city but did go on a couple short road trips down south, kicking around on the beaches for a couple days. This trip was invigorating and I left with a new determination to shoot forever, wherever. This is a collection of photographs that I am extremely proud of and am excited to share with everyone!”
