Benni Hemm Hemm Gig @ LGS London ended almost 5 years ago

It's been a while since Asakusa Jinta took Newburgh street by storm with an improvised gig outside the Lomography Gallery Store London. Finally it's time for another band, this time from Iceland, to bless our store with some original sounding music. Benni Hemm Hemm will be playing live in-store (maybe outside lets see) on Friday the 26th of March at 6pm

It’s been a while since Asakusa Jinta took Newburgh street by storm with an improvised gig outside the Lomography Gallery Store London.
Finally it’s time for another band, this time from Iceland, to bless our store with some original sounding music.

Benni Hemm Hemm will be playing live in-store (maybe outside lets see) on Friday the 26th of March at 6pm.

About the artist:

With a move to Edinburgh, Scotland, Benni Hemm Hemm learnt two things. He learnt to speak Scottish and that it’s just as much fun recording at home as it is to record in Sundlaugin, the Sigur Rós studio.
Benni made an EP called Retaliate by himself with his home recording gear. It’s a collection of five songs which feature knives, gold, lazy pioneers, confident talibans, blood thirsty vampires, Stan-Stan-the-caretaker-man and last but not least blood, lots of blood. The album will be released on a 10” vinyl and also on CD. It’s his first release which is all sung in English – and with English lyrics a new sound evolves.

“It was unheralded jubilance; beautiful, incisive music that pulsated each nerve to climax. I was thoroughly blown away.” Drowned in Sound, live review

“A different sort of Icelandic fair for those more attune to Sigur Ros or Mum or Bjork, but just as smart, just as creative. More like Benni Mmmm Mmmm!” Wes Barker, Amplifier magazine

YOU ARE ALL INVITED!!

Anyone from Iceland will receive 15% off at the store but you must prove it by saying :
