Matterhorn

by niccie
posted about 1 year ago
one commentIt's the most beautiful mountain you can find on this planet, at least that's my humble opionion about the Matterhorn and well the chocolate business also stealed it's shape to make the famous and jummy chocolate bar Toblerone. Now you are stunned, or maybe you already knew that. Well anyways everytime I am in Zermatt I have to take tons of shots of that mountain.

Lake Geneva

by vicuna
posted about 1 year agoI discovered the Lake Geneva this summer during a little week end at friend's home. Wasn't exactly at Geneva, but in the nice city of Nyons, about 20 km from Geneva but still at the lake! This lake is really huge and the panorama that's in front of you let's you think about a seaside and not the Alps!!

Hutongs

by camerao
posted about 1 year ago
one comment and 1 voteHutongs are lanes with courtyard houses and form a skeleton of old Beijing. Building of them was started during Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) as comfortable houses for the mandarins and other residents. But later on the VIPs moved to residences and gardens outside the city, and the courtyards are taken over by poorer people.

A beautiful place in Lucerne

by lyocell
posted about 1 year agoThis special place that I will show you, is one out of many that you will find in Lucerne. No doubt about that. BUT this place you will find no other travelers, because it's a secret that I am telling you. Even lots of people that live here have never been there. That's for sure. No matter, in winter, summer, autumn, spring, day or night this place is beautiful anytime. The building that you can see is part of the conservatoire...must be nice going to school there. Actually I have never seen people going in or coming out of it.

River Reuss

by lyocell
posted about 1 year agoI don't take charge if you are going to this place, well actually into this place. Lucerne, the city where I live, is next to the "Vierwaldstättersee" (name of the lake). Here also starts the river Reuss that passes the city and also divided into the old and new part of it. Lots of tourists are coming to see the "Kappelbridge" (view picture) that crosses the river. After this bridge there are coming some others.

The Parc des Bastions

posted about 1 year ago
3 submissionsThe park I prefer in my hometown Geneva is, doubtless, the Parc des Bastions. Located in the heart of the city, it is our genevan Central Park. In the park, you will find the University, the famous Mur des Réformateurs and the very trendy Café des Bastions. Students, nature-lovers, big families, old couples and young lovers love it.
