As you may have heard, we are planning the first ever World Film Photography Day on April 12th 2013. On this day, we encourage you to take a break from digital and join our analogue day parties across the world – It’s you chance to turn off your PC, switch off your Smartphone and take part in a whole range of analogue challenges.
But being analogue isn’t just about 1 day a year – It’s a state of mind which we can in fact follow daily or even at any given moment. So, for this competition, we are looking for you to submit a video of you doing something which takes your love for analogue to the extreme!
The Prizes
For a competition this crazy, we also have some extra cool prizes on offer! We have prizes for 50 talented video-makers. Firstly, our 1 Grand Prize Winner will get:
- 365 rolls of film* so you can stay analogue every day of the year
- A totally unique LC-A+ camera with your choice of leather
- An analogue turntable
Our 2nd – 5th place winners will get 100 rolls* of Lomography film each
Our 6th – 15th place winners will get 50 Piggy Points each to spend in the Lomography Online Shop.
Our 16th – 50th place winners will get 25 Piggy Points each to spend in the Lomography Online Shop.

Analogue Inspiration
Perhaps you’re a rock star who has taken their hotel room antics to a new level and decides to throw a whole bunch of 21st century gadgets out of the window. Maybe you would like to show your love for analogue by covering the entire floor of your house in film cartridges and cameras. Perhaps you’d like to build a Rube Goldberg machine which demonstrates the entire analogue photography process from loading the film to producing analogue prints (we would soooo love to see this!). These are, of course, just a few sample ideas; we are really looking for out-of-the-box, crazy, funny and outrageous videos here!
The Rules
We want to be surprised and captivated by your videos and that’s why we won’t limit you with too many rules for this competition. Your video can be any length. It can be shot on a Smartphone, video camera or, naturally, the LomoKino – Before you guys point it out, we do see the irony in shooting a video which shows the analogue life using a hi-tech digital camcorder; but we see this as half the fun of the rumble idea!
- Your video should capture your analogue life in a funny/clever/interesting/exciting/captivating/crazy way
- The video can be any length
- You can shoot your video using either digital or analogue
- If you feature music in your video, please make sure you have the rights to use it.
- Lomography cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any overly-crazy analogue ideas.

How to Submit
Entering the competition is super-simple. Just paste the link to your video in the comments section of this article. If you have anything special to tell us about your video, please include it in your comment when you post your video, or include it in the video description on vimeo/youtube.
*Please Note: The prize film rolls you receive will depend on current stock. They will be a brilliant mix of Color Negative, B&W, Slide, Redscale, 35mm, 120 and 110.

This analog video was made in collaboration with @brommi. We have shot the video on 1st May at various locations in and around Minden. I developed the films at home. After scanning the negatives, brommi has put the individual photos together to this stop&motion video. The video shows all T-shirts from brommi, where analog cameras are printed on it. I stood behind the camera and rotated at the LomoKino. It has made us a lot of fun. If we win something, then we will split the prize between the two of us. We hope that you enjoy the video!!!

For this competition I wanted to make a video, but then I thought that no other video better than this could represent my analogue day . Photography is part of me, especially analogue, everyday I put in my bag at least one camera (or two... maybe three) and some films. Every day I shoot photos, no matter where I am ... university, in the car, at sea on the street ... everywhere ... I like to stop myself and take an analogue breath.

A year ago I met some lomographers living in my own city, I filmed this first meeting with the LomoKino, I can now say that these people are my friends. We talk everyday not only to take pictures but also to go out and stay together. This was the first of a long series of analogue days :)
