We found yet another good friend and his name is Ties. His LomoAmigo story will be online soon. But before that, here's a cool photo competition! The theme of the rumble is Ties' passion for cross-overs. If you're curious where this idea comes from and what the mechanics of this rumble are, read on...

This is Ties. Ties is a musician who is crazy about Lomography. A couple of months ago Ties got the hang of analogue photography and he doesn’t leave his house anymore without bringing his Lomography cameras. One thing led to another and behold – we decided to work together to put this awesome rumble together!
The profession of our soon to be LomoAmigo Ties Mellema is a saxophonist and he is a lomographer during his free time. During the Tracks night of February 23rd, Ties gave a unique performance in the small hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in which his whole musical career came together. His career for a large part handles about not recognizing musical boundaries. Ties wants to make music covering every imaginable musical genre. From renaissance until world music, jazz, rock and very contemporary experimental music.
For that reason Ties made – especially for this show – a mix of pop music from his childhood with his current ‘classical’ concert practice. In which the main influence was his idol Prince. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

In other words – Ties loves cross-overs. And that brings us to the theme of this rumble. We are looking for your pictures that express cross-overs. Be it photographically/stylistically or subjects that handle about cross-over. Think of the Sagrada Familia. Or Andy Warhol, Bauhaus, Art-Nouveau or art and daily utensils.
To inspire you here some examples that Ties gave us:
What does cross-over mean to you? How do you express cross-over in an analogue picture? The possible interpretations of theme are endless. So be creative and send in your pictures!

Crossover is a musical works in that appearing two or more musical tastes or genres mixed, but one of them must be famous or popular... or so I think. It's that so?
amellemseit
