During the holidays we had to think about food. So with the company of Essen I A Taste Magazine, we have launched a delicious Competition just in order to awake your pupils' taste.
Combining food and photography has revealed a winning idea, judging by the substantial submissions we received.
We never expected this success. Browsing your photos has filled our heart with joy, not to mention the mouth! It’s because of you guys that our stomach was always full of delicacies from all over the world.
By watching all your submissions, we have felt the burden of judging and determining the winners. For that, Essen asked the help of a jury of professional photographers to which it was asked to choose in accordance with these rules:
- The iconographic composition
- The interest in food represented
- The story about
- The technical capacity in relation to the machine used
- The aesthetic and cultural representation of the origin of the country
The jury was composed as follows:
- Jennifesr Abessira
- Kuba Dobrowski
- Adrianna Glaviano
- Elisa Magnini
- Delfino Sisto Legnani
- Matteo Serri
From 1201 photos we skimmed to 347, and then finally arrive at the podium made by 4 shots!

This Competition has satisfied us from all points of view. We apologize if we had take longer then the expected to determine the winners but the ’wait was only at the expense of the result, we wanted to dedicate the time necessary to give full value to your shots.

@hanibale : Does your La Sardina lens have not open when you press the shutter button? Because my La Sardina's prize also not work well (I lost one of my empty Fuji negative film, lucky me not put my slide film there =) But when I touch the button above the lens box inside the camera, the lens can open. But still it's not work logically if I press the shutter button =(
