Robert Capa Black and White Rumble ended over 2 years ago

Robert Capa is best known as a war combat photographer. He has documented five different wars in his career. For our Robert Capa tribute this week, we want you to submit your black and white photos of soldiers. More details after the jump...

Photo via Artnet.com

Having photographed a lot of combat action throughout his career, a number of his photographs show soldiers as subjects. So with that said, we want you to submit soldier photos in black and white so that it’s reminiscent to the great photographer’s visual style. You don’t need to throw yourself to the frontlines for this task. You can photograph a soldier if you know one (or have someone) dress up as a soldier. It’s totally up to you. Be creative and have fun!

  • Prizes: 5 winners of 10 Piggies each. All winners will also receive a special award badge straight to their LomoHomes.
  • Film/Camera Type: Any analogue photo not digitally enhanced or manipulated.
  • Photos must be in Black and White.
  • Upload limit: 4 photos only.
  • Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height
  • Meta data must be complete: Camera, film, location, 3 tags, additional info, etc…
  • Deadline of submission is on January 21, 2012.

And hey, here’s a tipster article on how you can mimic the style of Capa. Have fun!
