LOMOGRAPHY ♥ GUP and the other way around. That’s why we’ve teamed up and launched this big competition. GUP magazine is an internationally renowned photography magazine distributed in 23 countries around the globe. This is your chance to win your very own exhibition and publication of a specific series of lomographs in their Magazine. How? Just read below.
Here is what we want you to do:
- Start up your own experiment with a Lomography camera, a film, the development process or whatever you think is out of the ordinary from ‘regular photography’
- Document the entire procedure of your very own experiment into a tipster + don’t forget to tag your tipster with ‘gupexperiment’
- Create a mini gallery of 5 lomographs in your tipster related to your experiment
- Upload this tipster before August 18th and post “Experiment with that!” in the comments below to officially enter the competition.

Please keep in mind:
- Film/Camera Type: Anything analogue, but not digitally enhanced or manipulated
- Upload Limit: 5 photos as a series included in your tipster
- Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height and 300dpi
- Meta data must be completed (camera, film, location & 3 tags incl. gupexperiment)
- Submit your tipster + gallery on time and post “Experiment with that!” in the comments below to officially enter the competition.
- If your tipster is a winner, you should be able to hand in your pictures at high resolution (at least 1200dpi)
- Please check the tipster submission guidelines before writing your tipster

What about tipsters that we've submitted and published in the past? Can we use those? But then ... we can't edit the tags.

I've always fancied trying to warp film in the microwave before using it, has anyone heard/seen/tried this before or know of where I can get help for a lomo obsession?

@ welland - you might want to be careful cos arnt the canisters for film metal? it might spark a bit. but i would try it haha, at least for a second or two :)

TO ALL - the rumble ended last Thursday the 18th. All tipsters (published or not published) that have been submitted BEFORE the 18th and which has at least 3 tags including "gup", "gupexperiment" - they will compete for the prices!
did submit your tipster on time but some of these metadata is missing? please let us know before WEDNESDAY 25th of august! this way we can find your tipster easier...

i resubmitted my tipster, whcih was called "Supersampler meets match-box", the new name is "Supersampler + match-box = Collage". All tags are written. Hope it would be recieved. Sorry for my internet connection, I live in Russia and it sucks over here, i guess than i was submitting my tipster on aug.12th or 13th smth went wrong and u didn't get my article. Maybe my wi-fi lagged. I'm really sorry i just realised it, cos I didn't see my tipster published for a long while. I was out of the city, so I just got online. Thanks for the undersatnding and again - my apologises! Cheers!
