Completing your photos by tagging them with information can do you a lot of good. Not only will it help other Lomographers find their way to your Lomographs, but for this competition it could win you Piggies and a Spinner 360 camera!

The Challenge – Complete 50% of your photos
A ‘complete picture’ is one that is fully tagged with these essential details – title and description, camera & film info, time, date and place. It helps the community to discover photos when they type in keywords in the search bar. And this week is the perfect time to start completing your shots because we’re giving away some super prizes for those who do! At the end of the competition, everyone who has completed 50% or over of all their photos will automatically be awarded 10 Piggy Points to spend in the shop; then we will randomly pick one lucky Lomographer who completes this task to win a Spinner 360 camera! camera – And if you’ve already completed over 50% of your shots before this competition even began, congratulations, you qualify for the prizes too!
How to make a photo ‘Complete’
Login to your LomoHome account and go to the Lab, where you’ll see all your uploaded photos. Select one or all photos, and you’ll see that tagging fields will appear – We want you to fill in the following fields on at least 50% of your photos:
- Title and description
- Camera assigned
- Film assigned
- Country where the picture was taken
- City where the picture was taken
- Assign Time and Date (No need for the exact date, the year is enough!)
How to tell what percentage of your photos are complete
We’ve made it easy for you! Just take a look at the completeness bar we’ve put in your LomoHome – It tells you what percentage of your shots are completely tagged at the moment – Just make the number in that box 50% or over and you’ll automatically qualify for your 10 Piggy Points and maybe a Spinner 360° camera too!

Ugh. I have no idea when most of my pictures were taken, I've been uploading since 2001 or 2002, sometimes wait weeks or months before I develop a roll, and can't even remember on what day exactly I took a certain picture last week.
Maybe if I upload 500 or so pictures within the next few days and tag them...

Many of us have hundreds of photos (some people even thousands!). There should be an application in the site telling you which photos are still untagged and not located on the map. That would be a great help.

@All - Sorry for the confusion regarding this competition - We have now updated the competition text so please re-read it - To clarify, we are asking you to complete your pictures, not geotag them - We have replaced the 'geotag' bar in your LomoHome with a 'completeness' bar which tells you what % of your shots are complete - We have also extended the competition end date to give you more time to complete your photos - Tagging your photos with just the year is enough, you don't need to include the month or day if you don't know it.

I only have ca 700 pics up, and am at 89%, but its a bitch going through all of them one by one to see which picture is missing what.
I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for people with 2000 pictures onwards..

Dear LSI, please help make a way for us to find untagged photos - I spent so long going through 1900+ photos to find a few non geotagged ones and could never find them all. 98% was as good as it got.

You need to fill in both description AND title. Here is a little warning for those planning to complete everything: Don't mass select several pics that already have a title but no description! If you do so and fill in a description, the title will be blank (or whatever is written in the title field at that moment) after you submit the decription! Bleh... ;)

I agree with @vicuna ... when 1 new feature is being added to the lab, and we need to go all over thousands of our photos to re tag them, it's really tough.... Perhaps the feature where we could find "untagged" photos quickly should be developed and rolled out first, before other new features come along...

Got over 50% - I thought it would be trickier with close to 7000 photos, but it turned out to be easy when I focused on adding years to albums in batches (not too many albums occurred over multiple years). Looking forward to 10 more piggies. :)

A pain in the ass but a great way to procrastinate and not write on my paper. And I have to agree with @Vicuna and all the others who said that it's stressful to have to go through albums that are five years old. It's especially annoying considering that my albums from 2005-2007 all had descriptions, dates, cities, and other information which were not transferred to the new lomography.com page.

I have 100% caryvengeance and no piggies however I think they are still awarding them. There are a lot of members and honestly 50% was pretty easy but I can understand the gentle encouragement because with tags the site indexes more smoothly and people can find things easier. I had 67 some percent before the contest began. You don't need to do the three words to describe each photo. Just the info they asked for and for referencing time--- [Year, month and time of day (morning, noon, etc)] helped me over the final 2% hurdle.

By the way, a lot of people here are giving incorrect information, 'cos the only way to get 100% is to tag EVERYTHING, including time of day, month, day AND 'Put on map' (geotagging), as well as title and description and every other piece of info requested.
