It's time to send Japan some strong Lomo Love an Support. Join this competition and show the people of Japan how the Lomography Community is here for them! Read after the jump for more information.
We want to show the people of Japan our love, support and understanding. For this rumble, please submit images you think will help show the people of Japan that we really care, that as a community we are concerned for them and would like to help.
Some say the power of a Hug is worth more than gold. Think about it, as a child, when you were scared and sad, a hug from an elder or a friend was enough to help you get through a hard time. Sometimes we feel helpless, unsure of what to do in situations like these, so let’s spread some Lomo Love and good vibes.
Submit pictures of:
- Hugs
- Hearts
- Encouragement
And we will spread the word far and long to make sure the people of Japan know we are with them! We want to create a LomoWall from these pictures to be put in Japan, so please make sure your pictures follow these guidelines:
- Minimum Photo Dimensions: submissions must be at least 1220px in either width or height, larger dimensions are welcome
- No visible borders or watermarks, etc.
This competition is a measure of our strength as a community and does not include prizes beyond the satisfaction of knowing you might have helped someone in need of a friend and emotional support.

Dear Community Members of the Lomographic Soceity,
Thank you so much for encouraging our country. We are glad to read your supportive comments and are encouraged by the images you will be posting here.
We wish to express our sincerest sympathy to people in difficult situations. In Japan, still so many people suffer from this disaster. The north side of Japan has especially been affected and has severe damage and even now so many people are afraid of the aftershocks
We really appreciate your thoughtful efforts. Fortunately, Lomography Japan team members are all fine and we are looking forward to seeing your warm messages and photos.
