We've teamed up to get your photographic take on Band Of Horses' album, Infinite Arms, and to give you the chance to win some seriously awesome prizes!
We’ve joined forces with Band Of Horses, their long time visual collaborator, Christopher Wilson and Filter Magazine, to bring you the chance to not only take home some serious loot, but to show off your photography skills at the Lomography Gallery Store Los Angeles!
Christopher Wilson has worked with Band Of Horses as their Artistic Director throughout their career. Not only have Chris’ photographs taken front and center on their most recent release (as well as all the other Band Of Horses albums!) but they are also projected behind the band at every concert.
What do you have to do? Just fill your ears with Band of Horses’ latest album Infinite Arms and, just like Chris did, take some amazing images inspired by the music!
Now let’s get down to some serious competition business!
We are looking for the 10 best analogue shots that represent musical inspiration from Infinite Arms. But Lomography won’t be the only judge… Chris Wilson and Band Of Horses will be taking the helm and picking their favorites. All 10 winners will have their images displayed at the Lomography Gallery Store Los Angeles alongside Chris’ images for a gallery party on September 25, 2010!
But that’s not all! There are some serious and unique prizes at stake!
The one and only Grand Prize Winner will receive:
- Their winning image displayed at the Lomography Gallery Store Los Angeles, for the duration of the event, along side Christopher Wilson’s images
- Four tickets to any Band Of Horses concert plus the opportunity to photograph a portion of the concert
- A print of the Band Of Horses ‘Infinite Arms’ cover photo signed by the band and Christopher Wilson
- Band Of Horses signed box set
- Band Of Horses merch pack (featuring t shirts and limited edition posters)
- The winning photograph will be incorporated into the projections at their live shows as well as being featured on the Band Of Horses website
- The winning photograph will be featured in an upcoming issue of Filter Magazine
- A Lomography Lomo LC-A+ Camera
- A Lomography Spinner 360° Camera
- A Lomography DigitaLIZA 35
- A Lomography Film Pack
Nine Runner Ups will each get:
- Their winning image displayed at the Lomography Gallery Store Los Angeles, for the duration of the event, along side Christopher Wilson’s images

- A merch pack from Band Of Horses
- A Lomography Diana F+ Camera
- A Lomography Film Pack
The deadline is short! We will close the competition on September 20th, 2010. That means you’ve got less than 17 days to get inspired, get shooting and really get uploading!
There are a few tough as nails requirements to enter:
You can only submit 5 images (so pick your best!)
All photos must have been taken with an analogue camera (please, no Photoshop!)
You must have a very high resolution image ready so we can print the images for the show , no later than September 20th!

Saw them for the first time at ACL a few years ago. Great stuff. You don't see steel guitar in too many bands anymore...bad ace. Really like "Marry Song", "No Ones Gonna Love You", and "The Funeral" on their previous albums. Really liking "Factory", "Laredo" and "Older" on the new album.

I had the exact same problem... I went to upload my photos at 6pm Pacific time last night and was told the competition was over 1 hour ago. I am super upset and had just spent about 2 weeks developing film and choosing my pictures and talking about it with all my friends. I really hope you doing something about this Lomography... I am super heartbroken and want a fair chance. Next time please post a time zone, it would save a lot of stress in the future.
