Beta Checkout at our New Shop: Win 100 USD/EUR Worth of Prizes! ended about 5 years ago

Help us 'check out' our new Checkout function at the shop and stand a chance to win goodies totalling to 100 USD/EUR!

Hey guys!

We’re picking out One (1) random commenter to win one single item equivalent or amounting to 100 USD/EUR from their test Checkout! All you have to do is test-drive our ‘Add to Cart’ and ‘Checkout’ functions at our New Shop and stand a chance to win! Only comments with completed feedback will be eligible to win the prize.

Here’s the drift:

  • Add one camera, one film, one fashion item, one bag/accessories to your Cart at our New Shop. Doesn’t matter what they are as long as they’re one of each kind. There should be at least one item in your cart less than/equivalent to 100 USD/EUR as this is going to be your prize :)
  • Use ‘Cash on Delivery’ method at Checkout. We are not shipping any orders with the New Shop during its test phase.
  • Complete Checkout procedure (you should get prompted via e-mail about your ‘order’)
  • Answer the following questions (see below) and leave them at this Competition post.

1. Was everything easy to find?
2. Is everything easy to read, and is the information on the products presented well?
3. Did adding items to the cart work?
4. While checking out, are there any fields or methods that you find difficult to understand or are unclear?

    1. No problem finding anything
    2. Very easy to read and navigate. Site is not clutered like old shop.
    3. Adding to cart worked fine and fast. I would like to continue shopping straight away rather than go to the cart every time I click on an item tho. Going back and forth for each seperate item is time consuming.
    4. Everything was clear and easy to understand at the checkout
    5. Got my email after checkout, in fact I got two as when I confirmed the order I got an error message and thought something had gone wrong and so I placed a second order
    6. I like the new shop, things are easy to find. I really like the wish list function and the fact you can email it to other is also nice. The U.I is clean and uncluttered. Pages are well laid out. The drop down box in the search function is great very intuitive with the photos an extra bonus for searching. Overall a nice web site to shop on. I can't wait to use it properly!

It's much better, but there are some issues: - sorting by ascending price doesn't work - In the transition from the penultimate step to the last, an error appeared. - In the "show all" products view, there should be an "add to cart" option, which would link directly to it and emphasize on the desired quantity. - after adding the item(s) to the cart, the "continue shopping" should link to a higher page, not the one of the product I just added. Well... because I just added it, I don't need to see it again!

    You get the error message but the order goes through and you get the email confirming the order! That is the only bug I could see and not such a big deal if the order goes through

    1. Yep! 2. Yep! 3. Yep! 4. It told me I had to choose a region, and the regions weren't from the UK - I had already selected that as my country. So I chose 'Wien' and it let me go through... however... I got a nasty message after confirming, instead of any proper confirmation!     1. Yes, everything was easy to find. Much easier than the old store, btw.
    2. Yes, everything was easy to read, although at one point "Apparel" was spelled wrong. Strange...
    3. Yes, no problems there
    4. No, everything that involved checking out was clear enough.
    5. Yes, but I didn't recognize it at first, and apparently neither did my inbox. The new address threw me off
    6. The new shop is much easier to navigate, MUCH cleaner looking, very modern and sleek. I especially enjoy the paypal feature, thank you for that!

    1.- I search some thing and I meet them without problems.
    2.- Each product show a lot of information. When I selected a t-shirt, I can choose the sex and the size more easy than in the old site.
    3.- Yes, it works. I like so much the utility to deselect a item, but I meet it and there is no clear that this buttom works to this.
    4.- The checkout is very easy and clear. At the end of the process, I have and "error" screen, with the next information:

    5.- I receive the mail inmediately, and it looks that the process was made correctly, ... I´m not sure ...
    6.- In the new shop it is easy to find the items, looks fashion and complet. You can see a lot of productos (films, ...) in very options, and offers you the discounts by bying one or more items.
    Definitely, this shop is much easier to use and intuitive than the other one. ;))

    1. Very easy to find the items I wanted. 2.The infos on the products are nice and clear. Had no prob with that. 3. Worked fine all the way! :-) 4. Not really. I got all the way to the end in a few seconds. 5. Yes, I did. Pretty fast! 6. This one is much better and easier to use. The new functions and the checkout system is way better than the old one. Congrats! BTW, I believe this is what is supposed to happen in this Test Shop. I got this message when I finished my checkout: There has been an error processing your request. Lomo On! :D

    1. Yes - very easy to find using the new tabs at the top of the page

    2. Yes, everything is easy to read and presented well however are you no longer using the microsite links? I couldn't find a microsite links and I do think they're useful for providing additional info and example galleries.

    3. Yes, no problems adding items to the cart, although it might be useful to add a button enabling this from the menu pages where one can select 'add to wishlist' and 'add to compare'; if you're a regular user and after a specific film etc you don't always need to go to a full information page about the specific product.

    4. Checking out didn't work *at all* for me first time around. I got "There has been an error processing your request." and then when I clicked back my cart was empty :(

    5. I did receive a confirmation email! Even though my order was not correctly processed (see above), so that's nice :)

    6. I much prefer the new site. Previously when shopping with the old site I had problems with the side columns not scrolling correctly, which made it difficult for me to go from one drop-down menu to the next without reloading the page. The new interface is much much cleaner and the pictures are really good. Overall, the shop feels a lot more fresh and funky!

    got the chunk of code as error after clicking on the last step to confirm everything... I will put the code the system gave after the answers to your questions:

    1. everyting is rearranged in a convenient way. maybe more options could be given in the display select dropdowns
    2. infos look good, clear, explainative
    3. yes, perfectly. make the "continue shopping" button appear on top of the list too.
    4. no. all was ok.
    5. yes, and pretty quick. Order #100000273
    6. new shop is more usable, better organized though keeping some of the old organization, which makes it frendly to old customers (like me).

I've not ordered from tehold shop before buit enjoyed buying form the new shop probably too much.. my rent would NOT be getting paid this month if this was not just a test!

    Sort by price didn’t work on lower priced items?!
    There is no add to basket with the option of “add to compare/wishlist”

    Yes, although with the “buy together &save” I’d like to be able to see other variants of a product where possible – e.g other dianas (if buying a Diana) and other supersamplers etc!
    3. Did adding items to the cart work? I had a fish eye adaptor and a splitzer that I never even viewed in my basket! They came from nowhere!!! (I left them in for you to see)
    4. While checking out, are there any fields or methods that you find difficult to understand or are unclear? No, I love the new process, admittedly the last one confused me but the process seems clearer and satisfying, then I got an error message (I can supply full error message if required!)

    (in my basket was 35mm b&w film, supersampler (pink) and a sidekick bag -plus splitzer and fisheye adaptor that turned up on their own!)

    1. Browsing the shop and finding products was very easy. Maybe an extra categorization on Camera-type/name would be useful 2. Information is very clear, visibility and legibility perfect 3. Adding items to the cart went very smooth, 1-click add to cart and continue shopping would be fun too though 4. Nope, very smooth and easy experience 5. Yes, e-mail confirmation was there instantaniously 6. A lot smoother now, much easier to browse and find products. The package deals are less clear now, but since it automatically keeps track of the possible discounts that problem is only of minor importance. Ended up on the errorpage after checkout, as described by others above, but since it's test-shop, probably this was intended. Love the new shop, will be using it a lot more!

    6. Very nice new shop. User friendly, clear, quick simple to use. Love the Advanced Search. Would be nice if there was an Add to Cart on the main pages (together with the Add to Wishlist and Add to Compare). I like the buy together promotion.

    1. I found exactly what I was looking for right away. I liked how there was a sample of products on the front page, and how everything was compressed into 4 categories. It made things a lot easier. 2. The information on the cameras was pretty easy to read. Although, when you're thinking of buying a camera plus film, it's nice to see the price of the packages on the same screen as the original camera. 3. It worked fine. 4. None. It explained how the "cash on delivery" system worked right away, which was nice. It was very easy. 5. Yep! 6. I found it faster, without the nonsense of having to pick what country I'm from. The only thing is it gave me my price in Euros instead of Canadian dollars (which I would be paying in). Before, it gave me my prices in CDN.

    b) The Select Country drop-down menu is in Chinese characters
    c) The Shipping Information drop-down menu also shows "NULL, NULL, NULL..." and "New Address" (Does that mean the rubbish I typed didn't get through?")
    d) Ahhh... Finally, a friendly message says the item cannot be shipped. A dead end. I probably selected "Jooloolaloopal" for a country for my shipping address lol! Sorry!

    N/A (I wasn't able to checkout anything)

    a) It's a lot easier to shop in the New Shop. It's more organized.

    1. I would say yes, actually in one step i was a bit confused, at the category view i saw just two links: * Add to Wishlist and * Add to Compare. That moment i thought hey and where is Add to Cart ?

    2. Yup everything is great. i love the new look and new pictures of products!

    3. Yes adding was ok a bit slow 3-5 seconds delay, but adding was successful

    4. It's ok, maybe shipping address and shipping to a different address it's a bit confusing at first time.

The layout was more organised. i like the "top sellers" section as well as the sidebar with all the "types" of cameras as well as for the films. However kinda confusing when trying to find a specific cam. I would suggest another division here with like "35mm" then another section with "120mm" ect. I would also suggest adding a section with "Items bought before", then maybe give like some discount there? Just a suggestion :) 2. However i did not see the link to the microsite, which i feel should be added. i really like the comparison feature, however the layout of the page when opened is not aligned, and could be fixed. 3. Yes, I added/removed without problems 4. These all made sense, although it selected Austria as my default country for some reason :) 5. Received email no problem. Obviously assuming you will be customizing the fields ("Sales" "sales@example.com"). Link to order # worked fine. In the message you have a broken "br" tag and this sentence needs to be fixed: "It is already being processed ready for shipment." You have a wayward period in the third email paragraph after the word account. "visit your account. section in the store." The phrase "drop us a line on" doesn't read as right to me, but that might be a regional thing. Also, you may as well set up the mailto: link with the order number pre-populated in the subject line ( a href="mailto:customerservice@lomography.com?subject=[order number variable]" ) 6. Much easier to read and get to categories. Dangerously easy to spend a lot of money with little effort!

    Actually everything was easy to find, except that the trash can symbols to the left of the cart items are not really discernible as such and except the compare function. I added the LOMO LC-A+ and the LOMO LC-A+ RL via the compare function and couldn't find where to compare them !
    So I decided to login, which prompted the following error message:

    When I hit my browser's 'Back' button I go the following message:

    Then I found the compare function and hit it. Unfortunately the pop-up window popped up but disappeared again, even after I allowed all scripting. I use Firefox 3.0.7 on Windows Vista.

    This persisted even when I tried again after wiping my cart and adding different products.
    So, I logged out and again put things in my cart. When I went to checkout, I had to login again, and got the error:

Do you know how often I forgot something and I just didn`t order again because of paying shipping costs again? Maybe there should be a reminder that will tell you at the check out that there are still items on your wishlist you haven`t ordered already :) And there is one thing missing: I can only compare and add to my wishlist (I love it!!!) on the main pages but I can`t directly add to my cart.

    The information is shown clearly.
    Just two things:
    1.- When I have to enter the address a message with "Null, null nulll" is shown first. Then clicking, I find my address.
    2.- Also a error message appears when placing the order. I suppose this is only for the testing.

    Yes, and it makes sense. I like the new lay-out.

    Of course, you've improved the layouts and the catalogue. It's easier to find the items and the information is shown correctly. In my personal opinion, an on-line shop is better if it's easy to navigate, gives information about the product, billing information, costs at the right moment and when you can jump from one page to another quickly. And this works quite well.

    Hey guys, thansk you soo much for all the bug reports, the comments and the nice words. The main checkout problem should be fixed now and we are working on getting this (NULL;NULL;NULL;NULL)-bug for the shipping data done. All of you who received an invoice or shipping notice for oyur order don't worry we were just playing along with your orders in the backend as well to give it a good test. So no unpleasent surprises i can guaranteee.
    @ abcdefuck and cyan-shine: I had this problem before but it now seems fixed to me. I couldn't reproduce it in Chrome and Firefox. Which browser are you using, I-'ll have a look at the problem right away.

    Yes, the categories are easier to follow. The redundant page navigation at the top and bottom are better for usability, one does need to scroll up/down to continue onward through a category. The side menu can be confusing with so many ways to sort the category though. But it is better than the old menu which was buggy when items were expanded, I could not see the links at bottom in that old version if a large category was expanded.

    2. Is everything easy to read, and is the information on the products presented well?

    Everything is easy to read. I would prefer if the product description was placed ABOVE the promotions and other links. I looked for the extended product info several times, thinking there was no real meaningful info/description because I had to scroll too far "under the fold" to find it. Also, with such a brief description you should consider having a link to "more" such as the microsite for the product.

    3. Did adding items to the cart work?

    Yes, except when I added Portra 400VC, it automatically added 5 rolls instead of 1. I tried again with E200 and it only added one. Maybe this is a bug? Everything else worked perfectly. I would consider adding a quick add to cart button so you don't need to load the product page to buy it. I might have already been to the shop before and know what I want, why do I have to load the product page before i have the chance to purchase?

    4. While checking out, are there any fields or methods that you find difficult to understand or are unclear?

    Yes, the little icon for "trash" actually looks like a camera. i thought it meant "zoom in" or "view a photo of this item", and I deleted an item mistakenly. Then I looked closer and saw it was trash. maybe the lid should be on the barrel, so it does not look like a lens! There is not much detail in that icon, it is not clear. It should probably have a heading at the top of its column, that says "delete item".. why not, the other columns are labeled clearly.

    I would consider adding "update checkout" and "continue shopping" as redundant links at the bottom as well as the top, along with the "proceed to checkout" which is the only one currently redundant. I found it frustrating to have to scroll to the bottom of the cart page just to continue to shop! I usually only examine and verify my shopping cart right before purchase/checkout, not each time I add something to my cart. maybe I am a speedy efficient shopper who knows what I want? i suspect others would agree with me though. The web is about speed!

    Also, it does not make sense to have to scroll down to choose my country, then scroll back up to select a state/province. Maybe this should be NEXT TO or under country since it depends on country being chosen first?

    Items were easy to find and the shop was easy to navigate through. The information was clear and well written. Adding items worked well, I deleted an item and added another, which worked fine. I would suggest that on the address page, you put the country drop down menu above the state so that the state drop down list will be correct for that country. Yes, I received a confirmation email within 30 seconds. The new shop is fast and better organized than the old one. Good job.

    Yes and know. The normal productinformations are easy to read. But sometimes the additional informations are arranged a bit to low. The Costumer Service Page is very confusing. Use more paragraphs and maybe the grouped style.

    Yes no problem, but maybe a quick to cart button would be great, so that you don't have to open every productsite when you know what you want to buy.

    is great the new shop all design and functional, is easy to navigate, but i still think there are few things that the old one might be work in the new, like select my country before add products to the cart, and in automatic conversion money was made to dollars, and for the shipping information, is it still going to be the more you buy less shipping you pay?

    1. I couldn't find the Diana Mini or the Lomo Xpro slide film (which may be no longer available). Besides that everything was really easy to navigate. Especially film, it's much smoother now.
    2. The organization of the info on the products is nice. Sample pictures are easily visible.
    3. Adding items to the cart, and taking them out, was super easy and worked without a hiccup. I liked how it shows you the discounts right away and calculates the difference for you. Very cool.
    4. The checkout steps are really good. The fact that they are all on the same page and you can go back if you need to with the "back" link. I like it a lot.
    5. I did receive my confirmation email. It's very easy to read my purchase and shipping info as well.
    6. This new shop seems to flow a lot better when placing orders than the old shop. There are no extra windows popping up when you want to view different films or pictures which I like. The old shop would get confusing if you were browsing across multiple product types. All the product info is really clear and adding multiple items is a snap. The side menus of the products are really nice as well. It's a great improvement.

    1. Everything was very easy to find, especially in comparison to the old site.
    2. Yes everything was pretty easy to find, though I panicked for about two seconds looking for the detailed information on lens sizes, aperatures, etc. until I scrolled down a bit and found it. I found a type-o under the Lc-A+ description: "and the occasionally temperamental focusing of like the original."
    3. Yes, adding items to the cart worked fine.
    4. No it was all very clear. It only took me a few moments.
    5. Yes, I received it very quickly within about a minute or two.
    6. I think the new site is leaps and bounds better than the old one. With the old one, there were certain fields/categories in which i could never see the whole list because my browser was only so big and you couldn't scroll down on the categories part. With the new, you can easily access everything. However, it did seem as though some of your products aren't listed yet (i.e. the Holga 135, not the Pinhole version - I have it but it's not showing up in my Holga search). The "sort by" drop down menu function needs a little bit of work. I'm not sure what sorting by position means - perhaps that one should be made a little bit more clear. Also, the other two functions did not work properly, but only at the beginning of the list. In sort by price, the first three prices were not the smallest, but the rest were in order. In sort by name, the first listed was the Horizon Perfekt, and then the A's and so forth.

    I really like being able to look at all of the cameras at once. The compare function should probably have a link to it on every page though. It took me a second to find it as I had to either go through my wishlist page or my account page, and a few others but not even most of the pages. Also, the writing on the customer care page, could be separated a little bit. It seems like one long jumbled paragraph.

    We just finished going over a new website at work, so I hope my comments help you. I know how tedious it is. Cheers!

    4. When checking out i couldn't change the prices into GBP. Also where you select which country you are posting to should be above the state/provence thing. Otherwise you have to chose somewhere in Austria. However this disappears once you change the country below.

    6. I prefer the new store to the old one. Having clearer categories, with best sellers, is a great improvement.

    Yes everything was easy to find and nicely divided in to categories. The search function worked fairly accurate. When typing lca or LCA I've gotten no results, typing LC-A on the other hand gave the desired results. I love the fact that thumbnails start to pop up when you type something in the search bar, this definitely helped in finding what I searched for.

    The info on items are easy to read and isn't stressful to the eye's.
    All the important info as contact, customer service, terms and so on were very easy to find. There is sufficient technical data on camera's. You've sample shot's accompanied with the film. There's got a good description on items.

    I had no problems with adding items to the cart

    4. While checking out, are there any fields or methods that you find difficult to understand or are unclear?
    No everything went step by step and was very clear to me.

    Yes, everything was easy find. The only thing I can come up with is the that you've referred to the order status in a sentence. This could be more synoptic / transparent by referring to the order status, and mentioning the customer service, at the bottom of the mail.

    6. How did you find the overall experience of shopping with the New Shop as compared to our Old One?
    This is definitely a improvement in comparison to the old shop. The site is very intuitive and looks sleek. The only thing I've encountered is that there should be more search queries so if case of a typo, people still get some "accurate" results. I'm referring to the lca LCA thingie.

    1. It is easy to find something that I want. But consider putting the option to sort products by name, price, popularity, etc both in ascending and descending.
    2. It is easy to read everything, but I think it is more comfortable to my eyes if the font color is black or dark blue rather than in light blue. Also, please add the microsite link if available so we can learn more about the product.

    4. Everything is clear to me, unless I cannot find the option to use my piggies (or perhaps is it because my piggy is 0 at the moment?)

    1. Yes, for the items that are listed on the website, they are easy to find. But what about the items that are out of stock? Is there a way to still list them and state they are out of stock and also state a predicted availability?

    2. Yes, the information of the products, the text, the variety of pictures, etc. were all easy to read. I love the related items and on some products, I like using the bundle feature, showing you savings when purchased with other items.

    3. Yes, the adding items to the cart worked great for me but only if I first signed in and picked the right store from the beginning. Initially when I went to the shop link, I started shopping right away without signing in or picking the correct store for me (USA). Once I noticed the Lomo store was still divided up by regions, I selected the USA store and everything in my cart was deleted and I had to start over. :(

    4. The checking out process was clear. I think that under the shipping option, you may state the rates that differ on the dollar amount you spend because sometimes we forget what the shipping tiers are. Plus it would suck if I bought $190 worth of stuff and paid shipping because I didn’t know that if you buy $200, you’d get free shipping.

    5. I received my email pretty much instantly! Pretty COOL!

    6. I love the new shop. I like that you added the search feature but I would still like an alphabetical list of every item you sell (I got so used to using that on the old site that I may miss it on the new shop, maybe you can just make the site map super detailed so that it’s like the list from the old site… starting with 10ft cable release:). Another thing I do like about the old shop is that there was a link to the microsite. In the new shop I think that should still be included and also include a link to the photos pg showing the most recent photos using that product, whether it’s a type of camera, film, accessory, etc. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the bundle feature!!! I like seeing the discounts upfront and picking items for a bundle specific to me. However, I still like the section of package deals on the old site that listed a ton of packages like the LC-A Update pack listed together with the Fisheye Underwater pack. Sometimes, you would like to browse by packages and this new site isn’t amendable to doing that.

    6 - Much better than the old shop. The searching method and step-by-step order is much more easy, logic and fast. I also like the clean look of the new shop. I like a lot the drop-down box on the item search, allows us to have more searching options.
    Just one thing, the link tabs are illegible and have very strange characters. All the rest is very fine, looks very nice and works properly.

    I hope to make this order for real someday: a Horizon Perfekt :D I crave for it every day.

    its better!, at first 5 second i was confused cause the sub sections of categories are not so good exposed as in old shop - but i was using old shop only by thous sections, now i have found the viewing all cameras at once much better, i dont need to know in wchich category i can find pinholes or lca i want it to appear and cath my eye by its own beauty and cool features. i think that " combos" when you want to place order is a good idea, i often want to byu a batch of items - but for now they were from same category i think they should be more mixed, like lca case+lca+redscale etc no redscale+bw lomo film + slide lomo fil..

However, there was a mismatch between the number of things in the category on the left, and the number that you see when you click on the category e.g. Multilens Cameras (19), then there's actually only 13. Also there's only two books listed under 'books' but there are other books available (somewhere).

    2. The information is presented well. I prefer the list view to the grid view - will the shop remember this? Arranging items by price threw up some incorrectly listed items. Oh, and the film savings seemed complicated - I save by buying 10 rolls, but if I've bought a camera as well there's an additional saving. Or is there? Am I paying the correct price? It didn't seem very clear…

    3. Adding items to the cart worked absolutely fine.

    5. Yes, there was an email - and it went to my inbox, not into spam! It was addressed simply from 'Sales' - I'd like to see 'Lomography Sales/Shop/Order/whatever' and the subject line should also include 'Lomography'. Maybe also a delivery estimate as part of the email?

    6. The overall experience was good - the old shop did seem dated compared to the rest of the Lomography web experience, but this brings it right into line. The 'look and feel' fits exactly with lomography.com and it worked quickly and smoothly.

    Would be nice to have the MICROSITES back and the additional info on the same page was not always thorough.
    Would also be nice to scroll/click through the larger images so the details can be seen. Like the larger images, might be nice to have a link to the lomographer as well(though I'm aware that would take you out of the shop, you could put a return to shop button if you do this!)
    The choice of list or grid is good but there are some discrepencies in the sequencing for price on cameras DianaF+ mini and Deluxe are out of order.
    If you sort by name on cameras the Horizon Perfekt was first not the Actionsampler?!
    Where is the Oktomat?

    3. Adding items always seem to work though I did find sometimes there was no bin for deleting once on the checkout page especially after looking at the film section.
    Kept getting ERROR 485 if I clicked on the CHECKOUT in the side column. I had to use the back button. The other checkout button seems okay.

    4. Checking out is not okay, at least for me I can't keeps coming up with an error 485 again. All the discounts seem correct and are a nice feature, the addition is also okay.
    I have tried a multitude of avenues to get to the checkout but it's not happening at the moment so I can't comment on the rest of the process with emails.

    1. Yeah, everything was very clear! 2. Everything was pretty easy to read. The font size was good, as compared to the old site with tiny, hard to read font. The information on the product is down a little low, but the overview of the product at the top is good as well. Maybe make the product information up a little bit higher, so you don't have to scroll down to see it? 3. Yeah, and I even deleted some things and then added others! 4. I didn't see anything that was too confusing during checkout... 5. Yes, immediately after I hit the checkout button! (I did get an error code instead of it saying thanks for your order or something, but I'm assuming that's because of the promotion and that it's not complete yet!) 6. I think this new site is a lot easier to navigate through. The font is more legible and there isn't a giant list to search through on the left hand side. The drop-down menus at the top are much more effective. I like!

    1. yes things were easy to find, but there were things that have been in the old shop, that i could not find in the new shop.
    2. things are easy to read, but the old site was much more descriptive and had pictures that answered any question i would have had, the product photos and description on this site do not. are there still packages for the l-ca, lubittle, etc. can you still get the same packages you used to be able to? save money when you buy film with the ccameras? i got my LC-A with just the basic package, is that all that we can get now, or can you still get the ring flash, wide angle and bag in a package?
    3. my cart worked beautifully, only thing i found odd was if i put 19 rolls in Provia 100 iso in my cart it would cost me 98.80 and if i put 20 in my cart it cost me 130.00...
    4. state/providence should go UNDER country, it might be confusing for people less experienced buying online if it is on top.

    1. I found everything super quick, except in the process of looking for the Lomo notebook I went to the stationary section only to find teacups and saucers...a little odd I thought.
    2. Information is clearly organized and I never had to reread anything. I like how the discounts for buying in bulk are clearly shown...great incentive!!! ;D
    3.I was able to add all 5 items to my cart in a matter of about 1 or 2 minutes...seriously it worked so well and quick.
    4.After adding everything to my cart so well, I clicked proceed to checkout and had to log in. Then after logging in it told me that my cart was empty. I understand, but...I wish it could've still saved my stuff. I always check "remember me" but still after every couple days I must re-log in. Anyways, I simply re-added everything all over again.
    5. I received a confirmation email instantly!
    6. I am able to transition between things much more quickly with this new shop compared to the old one. Not only between different types of film, but things in completely different categories. With the old shop, this usually took a while, I usually found myself looking through a lot of stuff for the particular thing of my interest, and also scrolling was difficult.

    1. Yes everything was easy to find but the only problem was when I tried to sort the cameras by price from lowest, it went to $50 to $75 and back to $50. Some were in order but others were scattered.

    A BIT. I wanted to buy a Diana Mini, and upon visiting the site I quickly typed-in DIANA MINI in the search tab. Ideally, it should show me DIANA MINI as the top search, but it was only the 5th item after DIANA WIDE ANGLE LENS, THROUGH A WOMAN’S BOOK, DIANA INTANT BACK and FUJI INTAX MINI. The search button should be programmed to look for the most relevant item in the site, I guess.

    SLIGHTLY. Aside from the general description of the product, a link directing you to the product microsite would be a good idea to know the product better.

    Great work on the new shop! It looks and functions beautifully.

    -Yes everything seems very easy to find. Although I did notice that not ALL of different camera accessories are listed in the specified category. But rather listed with its specified camera that it is made for.
    - In my case I went looking for the LC-A Krab housing and automatically clicked on the accessories section. Even though it is listed in the LC-A area, I still feel that every camera accessory should be listed as well in the accessory section.

    - When I was checking out I noticed that the money symbol was not the US dollar sign and I got a little lost trying to find the language setting.
    -I think it might be a bit more easier if the pull down tab for language was placed up near the bar where: "My Account | My Wishlist | My Cart | Checkout | Log In" are shown.

    HAHA....ok, this is going to be boring for whoever is employed to read all of these summaries.
    1: Everything was very easy to find, being layed out in the same style we already know and love from the rest of the lomography site, it flows and links better with the rest of the site.

    2: Very much the same, presentation is perfect, it's very easy to see where to go to get to a specific product. Great choice of colours, this works well because you havent got bright red flashing icons telling you to buy buy buy like so many other online shops. this makes shopping a more enjoyable experience.

    3: everything added to the basket fine. i tried it with a few other items too, because i couldnt make my mind up what i should put on my fake order. hehe

    4: Everything was clear to understand at the checkout, again, very good layout, very clear and easy to use. however when i had entered my billing address and clicked "next" it asked me to enter my 'zip/postal code' even though i had previously entered it.

    5: I did receive the confirmation email very promptly, almost before i'd even finnished clicking the "confirm order" button. haha, this email made me laugh so much!! i dont know where you guys come up with some of this stuff! here are some of my fav phrases from the email..."packaging architects", "after a bit of chanting" and "a no-messing security troop will escort your package to the post depot to ensure it departs without a sniff of trouble"
    hahahahahahahaha!!!!

    6: i loved the whole experience, i cant wait to use the shop for a real order now!!!! :)

    I like the new shop very much. It saves you from pulling down the long menu to see everything. The whole layout looks so neat. But I do miss the rich varieties of bundle deals in the old shop!

    --- I liked it better because in the OLD one, your left navigation bar is too long, goes beyond my screen and becomes unscrollable. Also the new one is very nifty with the automatic discounts!!! In the only one, discounts were limited to what was in the drop down menus. In the new shop however, maybe you can put an "ADD to CART" beside the product so the consumer wouldn't have to go to the item page just to add it.

    3. I found no problems while adding items to my cart.

    5. I received the confirmation e-mail right after placing my order, no problems.
    6. The New Shop is much more better comparing to the Old One to me. I like the new design as it's common to the main Lomo site. The old design was a mess for me =). I also like new much easy dividing by sections: Cameras, Films, Accessories and Fashion. I've found only one bug while sorting by name in cameras section - Horizon Perfekt on top of alphabetical order.
    It would be also nice option to remove item from wishlist.

    The Thumbnail pictures of the products should be smaller so that it's easier to get an overview. The linklist on the left "browse by" is not very nice to look at, and confusing. Bad redability. Too much letters on too little space. There should be coloured buttons or sth. similiar to the top navigation.

    The "Buy together and save" feature is very handy. You should find a way to integrate the fabulous film shop and the microsites.

    1. The layout was very clear and the categories on the left made finding what I was looking for very easy. 2. When viewing products I thought the information and specifications given were very helpful. I also liked the selection of photos demonstrating the product. 3. Adding items to the cart worked fine, as did removing them. 4. Everything was very straight forward while checking out, except the end screen which displayed an error message containing a lot of code. 5. Yes, I did. 6. I much preferred the new shop to the old one. The old shop had too much going on, for example, on the product pages and this made it harder to find out information about the product. I think the simplicity of the new shop is its best feature.

    The new one is much easier to navigate.
    Also, as a side note, all prices were listed in Euros for me even though I live in the U.S., not sure if this is just during the testing faze or if that is what you intended.
