Lomography Gallery Store NYC Diana+ Exhibition Call for Entries ended about 5 years ago

A call for entries to be selected for an exhibition at the Lomography Gallery Store NYC.

The Lomography Gallery Store NYC is living up to its name in May with a gallery exhibition featuring the best, most badass Diana+ images of the Big Apple you’ve ever seen. The show will feature 10-20 amazing, creme-of-the-crop Lomographers who will instantly achieve fame and notoriety by being exhibited all month long in the Lomography Gallery for 1000’s to see.

Who are these chosen few Lomographers?

It could be YOU!

We’re putting out the call for submissions today, and all are welcome to participate. Our NYC judges will then select 10 to 20 mind-blowing Diana masterpieces to be featured in the show as 20″ × 20″ prints!

We’re looking for images taken in (or of) NYC with a Diana, Diana+, or DianaF+ camera. The images need to be truly spectacular, and only 10-20 images will be selected for exhibition.

Maximum of 3 entries per person (we want to only see your best work)!

Deadline for submission: April 22nd, 2009, 11:59pm NYC time.

All selected images will then have to be printed at 20″ × 20″. Printing costs are the responsibility of the applicant, and must be printed under uniform guidelines of the Lomography Gallery Store exhibition organizers. Those who cannot meet these guidelines can send in their negatives and pay the printing costs for our local lab (estimated at between $45-$60 for a print). Images that do not meet guidelines will NOT be included in the show. The print will be the property of the Lomographer at the end of the exhibition.

NYC? Too far from Spain right now. I will tell some friends who are there during these week...
The 3 of the pictures shown are too much! High level!

So if we submit an image and it gets in we have to pay 45 dollars? I'm confused..

you have to submit a print in accordance with the guidelines we provide... if you can't get a print made, you can send us your negative and pay for the printing at our local lab, which is around that price, depending on if it's color, black and white, and perhaps we can still negotiate a better price... the most it would be is $60. after the exhibition, you own the print.

Do they really need to be 1 frame of the 120 film? It seems strange that there would be limitations of the aspect ratios, when the whole point of a Diana or any of the other lomo family cameras is to free your self of convention. I hope that this is a misunderstanding on my part, and you simply mean that the images must be printed at least 20" ...please advise

also...sorry to sound annoying...but the site was acting wierd when i tried to submit the images. How do I change the images submitted for the Lomography Gallery Store NYC Diana+ Exhibition Call for Entries. The interface for me was all messed up so I could not see which images were being submitted. Now I have the wrong images in the competition. Please advise.

How "in" NYC (as opposed to "of") is allowed? I have some shots I took of friends who posed for me indoors. Technically, it took place in NYC, but does stuff like that count? Or would you rather it be something with NYC as the theme?
