Extended Round-the-Clock Rumble: Blind Roll Shooting ended about 1 year ago

Don’t think, just shoot! would probably best describe how we roll this time. One of the greatest things about Lomography is the thrill of unpredictability. Have you tried shooting a roll of film entirely ‘blindly’? For this rumble, we’re asking you to live by the ’don’t think, just shoot’ philosophy. Advance your film a bit but not too much – the overlaps add a delicious flair. Shoot a far away subject from your camera, then immediately take your next shot as close as you can!

You can pretty much do anything you want with your shot, but ABSOLUTELY don’t think!

We’re looking for the most enormous and unpredictable shots. Send in your serial, overlapping images done with your medium-format cameras. The new Lubitel Universal 166+ is an ideal camera for such wonderful unpredictability.

Submit those unexpected beauties and you will be rewarded! Not to worry, we’re giving everyone an entire week – until Friday, October 17,2008) to scan their archives or do some crazily random shooting!

RUMBLE DETAILS

Any medium-format camera photo series is allowed for this rumble! (Diana, Lubitel, Holga, Seagull, etc.)

Prizes:

  • Winner – 10 Piggy points
  • Two Runners-Up – 5 Piggy Points

Minimum Dimensions: At least 768px either width or height

Please note that sample photos are theme suggestions only. Feel free to be creative with your interpretation of the theme!

I always shoot blindely with my folding cameras. I looks to ridiculous if I look though the view finder... But I'm pretty good and framing the subject so there's always a head on the pic :)
