Whether you're on the lookout for a new bed, a design idea for your bedroom or simply a place to chill, furniture giant IKEA will be perfect for you. Famous for its avant garde, minimalist DIY designs IKEA is also cost efficient as well as environmentally sound. With that aside, it is a very nice place to take some awesome lomographs. The ambient feel, the lighting and the people complement each other for an air that is conducive to Lomo. There are two branches in Singapore. One near Changi Airport and one near Queensway Shopping Centre. You can take a bus, mrt or a taxi to go to either store.

Little India is one of the most ethnic districts in Singapore. All these years, it has managed to retain its charm and color, hardly touched by urbanization. Interestingly Serangoon Road, which is the main artery running through the district, is one of the oldest roads in Singapore. This road was marked on ancient maps as "The Road Through the Island".

Known the world over for "aesthetically pleasing waitresses", Hooters is an institution in itself. Its expansion to Asia brought out a lot of curious customers including me, for a taste of what the chain has to offer. Although a far cry from the Hooters of American fame, they still manage to make the trip worthwhile as evidenced by the large number of foreigners and ex-pats sampling the local version. The signature hoola-hoops session in the middle of the store is still practiced and encouraged for the willing customers. The store specialty of Buffalo Wings are a treat in itself. If you don't fancy the Hooter ladies, you can always go here to enjoy and appreciate the delicious cuisine that they offer. Hooters is located in the middle of Clarke Quay.

Visiting Singapore is never complete without taking the cable car ride. Ride it from its two stations at Sentosa Island "www.sentosa.sg":www.sentosa.sg or from Mount Faber Jewel Box station "http:// www.mountfaber.com.sg/main-cablecar.htm":http:// www.mountfaber.com.sg/main-cablecar.htm The cable car provides a fantastic view of Singapore - the sweeping landscapes, the harbor, it's busy ports, cityscapes, Sentosa island - all very pretty and lomographic!

When one is in Singapore, there is always a strange structure looming over the horizon. Upon closer inspection this curiosity appears to be a massive architectural masterpiece that looks like one of the country's favorite fruits, albeit its stench, the durian. The Esplanade Theaters on the Bay is built to be the focal point for performing arts in the region.
