La Mesa Ecopark (Quezon City)

by eazy360
posted about 1 year ago
2 votesIf the grassy lawns of Luneta or Paco fall short, urbanize tree huggers can scoot to the northern borders of La Mesa Ecopark for the much-needed therapy of nature-bonding. An excellent place for family picnics and school field trips, this resuscitated parkland delivered by from the destruction of rampant illegal logging and poaching in East Fairview, Quezon City welcomes flocks of city folk seeking respite and leisure in Manila's last standing forest, especially during long weekends and holidays.

The Genova Bend

1 voteActually it is not called The Genova Bend, I really don't know what is it called. I just gave it that sort of a nickname after seeing a street post installed within that place. And it gave me the conclusion that it is supposed to be a residential ground development by the presence of the aforementioned street posts, concrete pavements and roads, tall grasses that have grown on the soil of the vacant lots and some undernourished, seared trees surrounding it......

Lamesa Eco Park

by cruzron
posted about 1 year agoAt the heart of the urban jungle of Quezon City lies a real jungle of sorts. Rehabilitated and repackaged for families, the Lamesa Dam is now known as the Lamesa Eco Park. Growing up near the place we used to run around the lush vast plains not minding the dangers the steep cliffs posted. Happy times but in the interest of political correctness everything is safe there now as I visited a few weeks back.

Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife

posted about 1 year ago
1 voteNinoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife is an ecological sanctuary within the city. It has mini zoo, lagoon, amphitheater, fishing village and vast areas of greenery's. This is my personal favorite spot to take pictures. The relaxing atmosphere and the serene manmade lake are just the extras. It has an enormous park land area hence there are plenty of sceneries to choose from. Great place to go for picnic and test your new rolls of film and cameras nevertheless.

Mogwai

by cruzron
posted about 1 year ago
1 voteNestled at the center of Marikina Shoe Expo or what is more affectionately called "Cubao X", is Mogwai, a bar owned by one of the most acclaimed directors in Philippine cinema, Erik Matti. It is the ideal place to chill out or for a nightcap, with beers pegged at a dollar each. You can get dessert with their specialty the choco lava cake where you can see the sweet filling oozing before your eyes.
