There is no doubt, this is the corner most involved with street art in Cali. It's extended along the Calle 5 to the Calle 6, from the Carrera 9 to the Carrera 10 containing all the walls and bridges located inside this area. To be more exact you can take a look at "El Sub", another location that I previously recommended.

I don't know if this is a common fact, but I 'm almost sure that is something really unusual. My town, my dearest Cali has down McDonald's. I am not communist or something alike but I must say that I'm very proud with this. Here was working three McDonald's since the middle nineties approximately, but now here is none.

This location is about a single street called "La Calle de los Hombres" which meaning is "The man's street". It was very important in the fifties Cali, it was supposed to be a place for business and where important decisions were made. As its name indicates, it was mainly a street for male characters, near to the Justice Hall (Palacio de Justicia) here came lawyers, policemen, merchants, and people involved with political issues. There were some taverns, barbershops and bar restaurants not able to all audience, some night clubs with pretty ladies and billiard tables. Imagine people like Wigumm (the police in chief from The Simpsons), Tony Montana, and why not, somebody like Travis Bickle.

El Sub is a kind of art gallery at the core of Cali, (my dear beloved hometown). In fact El Sub is a collective of young designers who has created this place as a showcase of their own work and of the other ones who want to join them or just share the same passion. You can find amongst this group graffiti artist, fashion designers, illustrators and many more manifestations of the artistic underground scene from Cali.

This place has been very important along the Cali's timeline; full of history, bloody baths, treats of peace, new born laws and others nostalgic details.
