The Pear River - Once Famous and Popular in China

Photo from tlr-cameras

The Pearl River Factory used to be located in the northern rural town of Guang Zhou City, and it made TLR Pearl River cameras as well as some easy to use 35 cameras like this F35 ES. It finally closed in the 1980’s. This F35 ES that I have was bought new in a street shop about 11 years ago and it still works perfect today.

The camera is total dark black color, and shutter is fixed on 125sec, apertures vary from f4-22, no B setting, with tripod thread and a mechanical self-timer, electrical flash available . This camera bears a 38mm lens, so with its “wide” depth of field, the focus is free. On the whole, it is a rather easy to use point and shoot camera especially when shoot in the Lomo way. I got my this camera for about $ 10.

So which camera is it. The TLR in the pic doesn't have fixed focus and the gallery looks like 35mm shots with the exception of a 120 in there. Either way the shots are quite nice.

Yes, the TLR Pearl River was produced in the same factory, which is also out of production. In fact the TLR part is added by the editor. Mine is only about the 135. All the attached photos, with the 35 camera, were taken more than 10 years ago in GuangZhou.::)) Thank you all for the kind comments and encouraging words..
