I was shocked! I asked a friend to bring me the SplitCam from Lomo-Shop in Vienna and holding it in my hands, my friend began to laugh. She asked, what I was going to do with that light piece of plastic? I wondered the same.

But if the SplitCam can not, then no camera shall call itself a toy camera! It is made completely of plastic, looks cheap and is a posiouns yellow colour.
But don’t judge a camera (book) by its cover.

I insert a film and the fun started. You can shoot and shoot and shoot without believing what you do. There is an mx- function (multiple exposure) to use the heart of SplitCam – so you can cover parts of the lens with black plastic and make double- exposures! This allows you to combine totally different things. Combine an upper and a lower part, hold your SplitCam upside down but do not use the black plastic to cover the lens to make double exposures…

I don’t know the technical facts, but I use SplitCam outdoors preferred in sunlight and this cam is lots of fun for less money (I think it is the cheapest cam in lomo- shop) and so a good present for friends. Easy to use, light, yellow :D Try it and you like it.

A SplitCam tip:
Look for funny things you can combine. Give melons to a friend, combine cheese and feet, writings and persons,….
