Supersampler is a great camera, you don’t have to be an expert to use it, just select the sequence speed (0,2 sec. or 2,0 sec.), pull the ripcord and shoot from the hip, it is that easy!
You can make minimovies, patterns; etc… whatever you want to do it will always turn out great.

The camera is provided with a small rubber removable viewfinder but I lost mine a few weeks after I bought the camera, I never used it, but I realize that I didn’t need it, just shoot from the hip. Other of the Supersampler feature is the ripcord film winder, just pull the string and “voilà”, the camera is ready to shoot; this feature allows you to be very fast when winding the film.

The only things I dislike in this camera is the lack of a sequential flash like in Actionsampler flash and the fragility of the ripcord, you have to be a bit careful when pulling it, but the rest is just fine, it is cheap and its simple plastic body can take the most of the shocks of a regular day use.

I hope that LSI releases a flash Supersampler (with a wrist strap); for now, if you want to take photos in low light conditions, you just have to use a higher ISO film.

The first time I saw a Supersampler on a small article on a magazine, it was love at first sight and one year later I bought it, I’ve found a Lomo stand accidentally on a event and I immediately bought it, since then, I always carried it with me for many years it was my travelling company until last summer, I fell into the water with it and it was the end for my Supersampler, now it only works (sometimes) in 0,2 seconds, the s,0 sec. speed is gone for good. I will buy a new one soon, the simplicity of the camera and its roughness is the perfect match for me. If you still haven’t bought a Supersampler don’t waste more time, just go ahead and order it, it is pretty cheap and I’m sure you won’t regret it!

Things I like in this camera:

  • Point and shoot
  • Roughness
  • Multilens
  • Price

What I dislike in this camera;

  • Lack of sequencial flash
  • No wrist strap
  • Fragility of the ripcord

    Hehehe ;)
    The button that says "NOW" is the shutter release, you just have to press it after you pull the ripcord.
    The other button on the camera backplate is the sequence speed selector, I advise you to use it on 2.0 sec. (just push that button to the right).
    In my opinion the viewfinder is not necessary and you will probably loose it, practice the shoot from the hip instead, after a few films you will become a pro, i´m pretty shure.

    Thanks the feedback ;)
