Yesterday I decided to organise my negatives. It was Spanish day and I don’t feel like watching the army parade. So I started labelling my rolls. Suddenly some of pictures I saw were strange to me. I checked it once, twice… uhmm, I don’t remember having this! These rolls were there for 2 years and some of the pictures hadn’t been seeing. So I decided to scan the negatives. They were destroyed as I’m not the most organised person in the world. Scratched, full of fingerprints … what a disaster. The first one made me almost give up but I went on. Some of the pictures were not good enough but who is the one that decides a picture isn’t worthy to be shown? Some of them, even with the light leaks, the scratches and the fingerprints look good enough to submit an entry or at least, create a “mistaken album”.
Some were taken with an Holga using 35mm film without back, others simply 120 films.
This is for beginners: when you take your films to the lab, check you have everything done. Sometimes they take the decision of killing your pictures!
