Eyedancing - Round One!

As some might know, my main job besides a Lomographer which takes plenty of time (taking pictures, scanning, uploading and staying in contact with my Lomofriends in this great community) is working for a company called Battle of the Year. We are organizing the World Championships in Breakdancing and have around 40 preliminaries this year worldwide. Probably we will also play in a theater near your town. One of the good things of this job is that we have to visit the worldwide events and make sure the local organizer stick to the rules and the event is running smoothly. A short while ago me and my good friend DJ Kid Cut received a phone call from Thessaloniki, Greece if we can could come down and appear at their event!
Both of us were free, so we got together our freshest kicks and gear and headed to the airport, direction south.
The plane was already waiting, so boarded and were ready to take off!
When we arrived we took the next transportation to the city and went straight to our hotel. The hotel looked already amazing from the front, so I don´t have to say how overwhelmed I was when I checked the view from the balcony.
Next stop was the venue. On the way there we had to overcome several small difficulties but finally we made it.
The B Boys were already waiting and as soon as the doors are open everybody rushed inside and started to warm up and dance…..it´s a real pity that pictures can´t keep the smell of a location you shoot!
After this it was business as usual – Host and Hostess announce the winners and after this we went back to the hotel, sleep and flew back to Germany!
Next stop for me will be Singapore, followed by Brussels…. and maybe something else as well! Stay tuned for more weekend trip adventures.
