Doubles are more than mere film swaps, they are a beginning of friendships! At least to these to Lomographers they were :)
“Because of Lomo, I met Kelvin (”Iamwen":http://beta.lomography.com/homes/iamwen) who lives in Malaysia. Last year, Kelvin asked me if I was willing to do double exposures with him. At the beginning, I thought he was joking. However, a mysterious birthday present arrived in Taipei few days after my birthday. Inside, it was my birthday card, a micro-Holga 110 and film! That is how our collaboration started!
For this double, however, we both used LC-As and the film we used is Kodak Elitechrome extra color.
Although this is our very first collaboration, it was full of surprises and coincidences. For example, when I did the second layer, I wanted to shoot the mannequins, but I couldn’t find the ideal ones. Kelvin seems to pre-read my mind and did it in the first layer. Moreover, Kelvin’s self portrait with camera doubles perfectly with the portrait of Keanu holding the camera. The only vertical picture is even magical. Normally people do not take vertical shots when doing double exposure, because you cannot be sure if the other Lomographer held the camera in the same direction as you did, but ours worked! Same direction, same idea!
Swapping films with other Lomographer is really a fun thing to do. Why not make it a trend?"
We could not agree more! Are you up for doubles? Then let others know by writing in the comments!
