A Medical Mystery - Triples
written by kylethefrench on January 22nd, 2009 , 19 comments (0 votes)

I was trying to make doubles with xbalboax and I took pictures of the Atlantic ocean in Maine with a Fisheye and he took pix of main street in New York … the crazy mistake part is that unknown to both of us the slide film (velvia 100 speed) bought from ebay was already exposed when purchased and the crazy thing is that we thought it was blank yet we were MISTAKEN! it was exposed with pictures of some kind of gross surgery probably they were slides that a professor took to use in a class at a medical school, either way everybody wins with this mistake, except maybe the patient—- these pictures are either really cool or really disgusting – some people might not even want to look at them, I think they are kind of right on though :)

Yeah I do wish that the triple aspect of these were more clear but there are like 6 pictures where you can really see the triple aspect. The redbull truck and the waterlillies are a couple examples. I think the issue is the surgery people had bright ass sergery lights and me and xbalboax just used sunlight. Anyways lsi thanks for the exposure.

dispite of being disgusting, I think that it's kind a bit of life!.. nothing lasts forever and human body sometimes needs surgery to get better! so, i consider this pics amazing on them own!

    I LOVE #S 3, 7, 12, 22.
I agree that maybe this guy loves Lomography and hoped someone would make use of the exposures he didn't need. They are creepy but at the same time, so awesome because of the juxtaposition of each facet of the prints.

these were def an interesting surprise. if you look closely you can see the fisheye stuff from kyle and the lc-a shots from me on a few of the shots, so the triples are visible on a few shots. by far the craziest set of swaps i have ever done. i think what really made these are the colors we got from cross processing the film. thanks kyle and lsi for bringing this creation to life :) and thanks to ebay for the film gotta love the internet ^_^

It looks awfully like a shoulder reconstruction to me. Gnarly cool! I'm jealous. I want already exposed film with gross medical things, too.
