Well, I’m not very into photo stuff, rather prefer making music . On the other hand, I’ve always dreamed about working with
visuals and some of my soundscapes may remind soundtracks for films.

I’ve met Rena – my girlfriend! She is a graphic and fashion designer and also a
photographer. She takes lots of pictures with Zenit (which I remember from my childhood
making photos with my father and developing them in our home-made bathroom lab). I like
to experiment with everything that comes in my hands, so started to ask Rena to try Zenit by myself here and there :)

And then we’ve heard the booming echo: om-ooom-looom-lllllomooooo, starting to see kinda bit weird pics, that had unique but yet defined characteristics (maybe even style). I admit: I am curious, I’ve followed.

Tel-Aviv is full of creative personalities. One of my friends, Ofir Liberman, an independent graphic designer and currently a lecturer in Shenkar College (once he even created an artwork for my Jacid Ass track apparently mentioned his two Holgas (one with color flash) and said that he can borrow us one just to play with. We could not refuse. He came and said one sentence that scratches my brain till now when it’s time for the new ideas. He said: “It’s a crazy lo-fi!”.

We’ve took the camera to our Sinai trip – the results were encouraging. Then we’ve started to look for a camera of our own. I like to keep all the options opened, so Diana F+ was the best match . I’ve tested it through my first ride to California and my
friend Nick liked the pics so much, that bought himself Holga [huh, I could argue about his choice] :)

After, the lomosite and lomocommunity were discovered, and look where I am now :) it’s
contaminating, it’s creative, it’s fun, it’s in my hands, it’s a bit different, it’s
my research and my story – yet to be continued…
