Turn down the lights, charge her up in the light and see Diana Glow! Analogue photography allows you to step back in time and recreate the sensation of the past. The Diana Glow is the ultimate analogue plaything – encompassing the novelty of Glow in the Dark nostalgia, 1960s retro-design and beautiful lo-fi shots that will take you aback. With the Diana Glow analogue is illuminated!
Lomography loves analogue in every form. The Diana+ is our improved recreation of the 1960s classic medium format camera, with some great new features to expand the analogue experience. So, in celebration of our latest Diana clone we’re getting familiar with her long-exposure capabilities and setting the scene a-glow with one of our favourite analogue techniques.

The Diana Glow

Before you go into the dark charge this Diana up with light and see how she glows! Once charged, Diana’s body and stars give off that nostalgic green light in the dark. If you are at a club, or somewhere else with strong lights you can use these beams to give the Diana Glow a boost and she’ll keep on glowing!

Keeping the Diana’s form and function, we create each limited edition clones to be unique in style and spirit. Every Clone is customised to have special details and that are different from any other. Remember Edelweiss, Hong Meow and Black Jack and Tokyo Rising?

Make one yours quickly before their bright brilliance becomes but a fading memory!

A Diana + Lesson In Light Painting

The Diana+’s long exposure capabilities are perfect for light-painting.
What you need:
1) Diana +
2) A light source like a torch (or many light sources)
3) F+ flash or any other flash
4) Your imagination
5) An assistant or a cable release-like modification – as you can’t hold the shutter open and perform light painting tricks at the same time!
Method
a) Think about the scene you want to create.
b) Set up your Diana+ and the shutter setting to B.
c) Release the shutter and keep holding it open.
d) Use the light source/torch to paint the scene or write a word… the choice is yours. Remember to switch it off!
e) Then use one shot of your flash to delicately light the background of your shot.
f) Take your finger off the release lever to close the shutter.
Note:
This is a basic method. With practice you will gain confidence to use more tricks!
