JPG "Shoot From the Hip" Photo-Theme Challenge Deadline

December has arrived, and it’s time for all you shoot-from-the-hipsters to take stock to make sure you’ve put your best foot forward for the unbelievable JPG Magazine Shoot-From-the-Hip Theme Challenge that our BFF’s at JPG Magazine have been kind enough to collaborate with us on. As you all know, Rule #4 of Lomography’s 10 Golden Rules is “try the shot from the hip” and this JPG theme was drawn from this truly inspiring Lomographic aesthetic.

This is a bona-fide opportunity for fame, fortune, and Lomographic bounty that does not come along every day!

Everyone who is chosen as winners of the theme challenge receives $100 cash, a year subscription to JPG, and the honor of being published alongside some of the most awesome, creative, amazing photos from the entire online community of analog and digital photographers. That in itself would be reason enough to hit the streets and hipshot everything in sight.

But that wasn’t enough for us! We’re throwing in some cameras, as we always do. And not just any cameras… we’re talking Lubitel Universal 166+, baby! The top 3 winners will each get one of these incredible analog wonders, lovingly recreated and re-imagined to take analog photography into the future!

And everyone else who gets chosen will get a DianaF+ Starter Kit. The ‘60’s cult camera is back and better than ever! We’ve fine-tuned this beauty and added more features, including a detachable lens system that allows you to add one of 4 lenses (sold separately), or leave the lens off and shoot pinholes!
