My Lomo Story by nanuth

My meeting with Lomography was due to the fate. It was less than three years
ago, I was in university and I had one hour free between two lessons, I
decided to go to the library have a look in newspappers and magazines. I choose one to read it without a lot of attention! Turning the pages, one thing strikes me. It was a little plastic camera with big lens, the fisheye. There was a website link, a shop in Paris that was selling this weird thing. I order one, a pulsion! But this is how love at first sight happens!! I wait for 2 weeks , 3
weeks, one month… no camera. Out of sight, out of mind. I forgot that I ordered one and I lived my life!!

Four months later, one day before I move to another city and change my address, I receive a package. First I thought it was a mistake “ no no it may not be for me , I didn’t order something” But the name on it was mine so…I opened it and … great surprise! It was my fisheye in his bubble box! From that day I started shooting with it, not in a compulsive way but I always had it in my handbag , I knew it was here, it was an old friends relationship. When I show it everybody laugh at me “ohh what’s this beautifull
toy… (But I’m used to that because it’s the same reaction when I introduced my
ukulele) But as soon as they see the results they are envious hahah( I know
pride is a sin but envy too…).

That’s how I discover lomography society and this is the only website where I like putting some pictures. So this meeting was very open-minded considering that mistake, or haze or double exposing is constructive in photo is so good!

But I never order again on the website where I found my fisheye…
