The college my boyfriend and I attend, Rogue Community (in Medford, Oregon) is partners with Southern Oregon University, located about 30 minutes away in the oh-so-badass city of Ashland. They recently built a new college building/campus in downtown Medford that is called the RCC/SOU Higher Education Campus.
The building totally outdoes all the older RCC buildings that are located right next to it; in fact, seeing that new building for the first time yesterday (the first day “back to school”) felt like stepping into a mini-city in itself.
Anyways, Anthony and I are touring the building, inside and out, just for our own pleasure, and of course with my fisheye2 in hand. I spot this guy with this HUGE nikon camera that looks so amazing and so expensive. I whisper to Anthony to check it out. Before I know it, the guy is approaching US saying “hey, are you a photographer?” I think I said something like “you could say that…” as I’m drooling over what is in his hands. He asks to see OUR camer and is so impressed, holding it up and staring through the viewfinder at the new building. He states “man, that’d be a nice camera to have” (yes, his big fancy camera is still in his hands), takes a couple pictures of us, asks our names, and walks away…
We just looked at each other and busted up laughing.
