Film Development
written by ipdegirl on October 5th, 2008 , 3 comments (1 vote)

I’ve started developing my own black & white film lately and am still getting the hang of loading it onto the reels correctly. The first few rolls were disastrous but I’ve gotten better since and have even gotten some cool effects from my mistakes.

So, if your film is accidentally buckled on the reel and gets a little mangled, no worries! It often comes out really neat with a white spot and a bluish tint around the edges. It may just inspire you to be ‘not-so-perfect’ everytime you develop the film yourself.

That's true, mistakes can create some strange effects!! I got once (not even on a film of mine) funny bubbles on a side of the film, probably because I did a mistake preparing the solutions and didn't put enough liquid in the tank... The results were quite fun though!!

happened to me too! And that blue spot destroyed the best picture on that roll!!
