Relaunch Tutorial: How to move images between albums
written by recurving on September 11th, 2008 , 10 comments (0 votes)

One of the most common questions we are asked about the new Lab is the following: “How can I move images between two albums?” or “Can I add images to an already created album?”

Here’s how you can do that:

  • First go into Album view
  • Select some albums, to do so hold CTRL (Windows) or COMMAND (OSX) and click on the albums (can even be Unsorted or Trash)
  • Go to Selection view
  • Drag and Drop images between the albums. Again: to select more than one image just hold CTRL/COMMAND. To select a range of images click on the first one you want to select, hold SHIFT and click on the last one.

Here is a video tutorial to demonstrate this:

The only problem i seem to consistantly have is when i try and select more than five images. When I do....everything freezes up. I have just started grabbing five at a time as a rule. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem....just thought I'd throw it out there.

Ok...I just uploaded some pics into my new beta home and it's all in the 'UNSORTED' folder. I've already created a NEW ALBUM and I still have NO IDEA how to move the pics from the 'unsorted' into the new album. When I'm on the selection page, there's no folder where I can drag my pics to. Help Help...aww h e l p :(

Thx for the article BUT if the procedure was a lot more intuitive in the first place I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to figure out how to to find the article!
