  i think votes really don't count (so why are we voting???)
  look at the winning shots and their number of yes and no votes.... so every picture has a chance to win

  photos are judged each week for the week they were uploaded... so at the start of each week, you can upload more shots!

  and voting matters, but also doesn't... some of the best photos got the most negative votes... i think we all know why that is, but it's not necessary to delve into it! a good photo with negative votes has just as much chance to win as any other... a photo with 30 positive votes is not going to win just because of votes either... voting helps us a bit to measure the community's response to a photo, but it has no bearing at all on who wins and who doesn't... judging isn't easy, but we hope that the best shots that fit the theme win.

  @ catcher: did you try to login with your Beta home username? My old one with the capital letter didn't work, the new one did...

  not onlöy that it feels good, nobody has anything out of a negative voting without leaving a comment! neither the lomographer nor the people don't liking the shots....

  does this week end at midnight that starts sunday? or do we have all day sunday, ending at midnight, which is more or less monday? i'm confused. please help!

  yes, it ends at midnight on sunday, turning into monday... you have all day sunday to submit...

  @ champi: my old username is the same as my beta home username, i think. i logged in fine last week, but every time i try to log in, it says, "we're sorry, but something went wrong. we've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly." ah, i don't know what to do! thanks though.

  I've got the same problem as well.. for the past 3, 4 days! I hope they solve the problem real soon or they give us an extension of sorts. Help!

  i'm having troubles logging in too.. i got the same error msg like catcher did..
  it's been going on for the past 3-4 days.. somebody help!
