Listening to Garbage's album "Not Your Kind of People" and thinking about the meaning of their name (garbage is trash, but the band sounds great) I got myself remembering how many times someone threw away a camera (or any analogue device) believing it was trash at the same time that, for us, it's a treasure! The Lomography Gallery Stores in NYC are thrilled to be participating in the first annual all photography extravaganza that will be Photoville NYC! This festival will be an all-photography celebration... in shipping containers! Each participating venue will host their very own space, and attendees are free to roam the Brooklyn Bridge Park, going from container to container.

On Saturday, May 26th, the NYC Lomography Gallery Store in Gramercy taught a special group of university students from Baruch College how to manipulate their first medium format Diana F+ cameras. These students came through the AIESEC program from all over the world to join us in New York city! We wanted to show them the city Lomography style, and thus loaded them up with 120 film in our very own Diana F+ cameras!
