Today is World Photography Day, and to commemorate centuries of picture-taking, why don't we pay tribute to one of the most creative photographic techniques known to the analogue world: Double Exposures, or as art photographer Tierney Gearon calls it, "Double Explosure!"

Roy DeCarava was an American photographer whose style has been described as gentle, graceful, and full of emotional intimacy. Despite his success as a photojournalist and commercial photographer, DeCarava gave up magazine and other commissioned work in order to satisfy his more artistic inclinations. Read on to find out a little bit more about him.

We just love the analog/digital presentation of The Rapture's new album In The Grace Of Your Love: filming a turntable playing the album, showing title cards in between and broadcasting it over the internet.

What was the Sprocket Rocket made for? Why for big, wide, up high, down low panoramas of course. With tourists swarming down below, what better way to shoot London than from above?
The great thing about this plastic panoramic partner is that you can either shoot sprockety loveliness or crisp clean sprocket-less seams. So we did both.

Photobooths are an analogue medium every Lomographer should experiment with. Originally these black-n-white or color machines were made for portraits but with the great time lapse between each frame, there are so many ways of getting creative and telling a story. I’d like to think these dip-n-dunk photobooths are the original mini movie creators.

Formerly known as Thieves Market, the Lorong Kulit flea market is one of the must-see places when you are in Penang. Located near the city stadium, it operates daily in the morning. And no, it's not a market full of thieves or selling stolen stuff nor is it just an ordinary flea market, it's actually a vintage bazaar.

Photographing weddings using an old analogue camera, especially the kind of low-fi cameras used in this article, seems pretty crazy since we have access to these 21 megapixel 45 auto-focus digital wonders. But, like all our adventures in film, we just have to jump right in and see what turns out!
